Seriously who gives a fck if Edu is back. We need more players, not more suits.

Itll mean a direct link to Brazilian talent and hopefully more that qualify for European ancestry.

Itll also mean sanehli can focus on one job and Edu can take over the other parts but fulltime.

Itll probably be a bit too late for him to affect this window, but at least he can start bedding in for next year.

Tiny outside chance he hits the ground running, meaning raul can f***ing focus on selling deadwood.

Isn’t that what our scouts are for? What’s the difference in role between Edu and Snaheli?

https://www.arsenal.com/news/edu-named- ... l-director

As technical director, he directly manages all coaches (inc Emery) scouts and academy. Essentially he sticks to on field stuff.

Raul and vinai split gazidis old job role -

Raul - ie high level negotiator, decision maker schmoozer to other clubs and potential commercial partners. Hes supported by head negotiator huss fahmy in negotiations etc.

Vinai - money man - commercial deals, transfer fee structures, balance sheets etc. He does the detail behind Rauls schmoozing.

Thanks. That’s helps. So we’ve got four guys doing two guys jobs. Wasn’t technology supposed to make people redundant?

Seems like we're building a backroom empire - look on this as a positive - the LA Rams have a huge experienced backroom set-up it's thought to have been key to their revival ... just maybe Kroenke is following the same model, build the chassis and engine first before you worry to much about the aerodynamics and the paint job. Come on let's have a bit of positivity for a change ......

Hold up. Sven Mislintat ended up at Stuttgart who are currently playing in the 2nd division of the Bundesliga?

How did he end up there and not with a bigger club? Wasn't this guy supposed to be really good because I still see people bemoaning his departure. There is no way he left us because of our transfer budget if he's gone to a much smaller club.

We'll see where they end up and if they produce some good players. Maybe we dodged a bullet.

I don't think it was because of the budget, I thought it was because he wasn't going to be allowed to do what he does best, or in other words because of how we were structured? Which is shit right now, or at least was.

Yet he chose Stuggart? There were no other options? I don't believe Stuggart have a better structure than ours. Rumours were floating around about our budget but it sounded like he was a bit of a lone wolf and was unhappy about being passed up for promotion. The Stuttgart job title is bigger.

You'd have to ask him.

I will when I see him. But what does it look like to you? We all had an opinion on what it looked like when he left us.

Too many unknowns to really speculate. He seemed to work wonders at Dortmund, I was excited for him to come here based off of that alone, but really didn't know much about him. Still don't. I guess we'll never know why he really left, if we assume what came out wasn't the truth. As for his decisions to go to Stuggart, IDK. He could have chose them for many reasons, maybe he wanted a challenge, maybe he knows someone there really well and wants to work with them, maybe it was his boyhood team, maybe they really do have a good structure and are on the up and up, again too many unknowns, for me at least.

i think he wants to head a project

clubs in germany are usually rich, especially the historical ones - and that includes stuttgart. theyve also got a 43 year old manager so maybe theyre a club that lets mislintat rule the roost without any authority questioning him. that plus a decent pay packet might be the most desirable thing for people like him

Sanehli wanted to go the connections route to buy players, mislinatat specialises in the analytical fact/evidence based route.

It's how he identified torriera, he based the search on the parameters of kante and found torriera.

You probs right about Stuttgart, he doesnt want outside interference when hes doing his thing and that doesnt fit with 4 people with differing preferences blocking his process
