We are the mighty Arsenal FC, some of you need to be reminded of this and you better get to know and stop acting like big girls!!

Or conversely far to many people on the board and in the stands have their heads up their arses ... Leeds, Portsmouth, Sunderland all thought the same, how did that work out?

We need to compete with the best, Misinslat, Monchi, Overmars our number 1, 2 and 3 choices have all run a mile. Something is rotten in The Arsenal and burying your head in the sand won't fix that.

We maybe not some 'little hurry come up club' but we are not too big to become one. No club, not even ours, has a god given right to success we must work at it and that includes in the boardroom ... Chips Keswick, Ken Friar, Lord Harris, Stan Kroenke, Josh Kroenke is this seriously a board who know feck all about running an EPL club? I'm not so sure.

Wouldn't be bad if the boss comes back as the director of football operations.

As far as I know Bruce Springsteen has no knowledge of football
I think he meant George Graham

Emery’s done a piss-poor job of turning us into Sevilla. Monchi agrees.

Loooool, mate how are you comparing Leeds, Portsmouth or Sunderland to us ffs!!

We are in the top 10 richest clubs in the world, UEFA have us in the G whatever number it is of key and influential clubs that help decide the direction the European game needs to go in. We are the 3rd most successful club in England and have been for all the years the majority of forum members have followed Arsenal.

There is absolutely zero chance of us doing a Leeds. Who the f**k are Leeds to be compared with us. One time big club that have never come to our level.

Arsenal are considering an internal appointment for their technical director role, with former defender Steve Morrow, who is club's head of youth scouting, emerging as an option. (Times - subscription required)

Proving my point nicely ... head up arse ... no club is to big to fail us included, to believe otherwise is arrogant stupidity.

We were CL challengers two decades ago, EPL challengers a decade ago ... where are we now? Struggling for fourth and playing Thursday night football. You snooze you lose, we need to wake up.

As for 'decide the direction the European game needs to go in' we are abject failures in Europe, just two trophies in our history. Spurs, Villa, Forest, West Ham, Newcastle and yes Leeds all have as many or more European Trophies. We need to compete with the big clubs in the big pond, not just win a bunch of domestic trophies ... that requires our club to have a footballing ethos from the top to the bottom, which is why a proper backroom overhaul is long overdue.

You can sit happily staring at your navel saying 'we're to big to fail' many have done that before, it never ends well.

Should have simply promoted Sven. Going for a yes man isn't the solution. Last summer was the first time in years that we unearthed gems or wrapped up deals in time.

How is it head up arse?? Its never going to happen EK. We have too much money and too many fans for something like that to happen to us. We are not susceptible to changing market forces like tech or retail firms. We don't have to worry about the economy, we have been through numerous economic dips and come out the other side just fine. Our history of spending only what we make makes us one of the most financially stable clubs on earth.

We have NEVER been relegated, why would you think it would happen now?? Hence why I say we will never collapse like Leeds or Portsmouth et al, we are on an entirely different level to those clubs and have been for all of our football life.
