Huge fan of the young players that play at Dortmund and hope Mislintat can be the right guy for us. The position he's filling is of extreme importance considering the administration's philosophies/priorities

Its not the same. At Dortmund manager had not much say in the signings. So the scouts working for the club could identify potential and the club buys them. At Arsenal even if this guy finds the next messi.....its wengers decision 100%

Well going by all the rumors of and recent additions to the backroom, it seems like Wenger's time as Arsenal manager is coming to an end.

Theory:
Since we failed to qualify for the CL last season, it was agreed when Wenger extended his contract that Wenger would forfeit all executive level decisions to Gazidis for the two years he signed on for but he’d retain those duties as well as the power to decide his future at the end of his contract as long as he wins the PL or the CL within the time of his contract.

Knowing the board, though, the ultimatum would probably be something along the lines of Wenger getting the club playing CL football again :shifty:

I heard players like Gabriel, Xhaka and Elneny were not Wenger buys and they were StatDNA (data analytics) supported signings. If true then its not like Wenger has the only guy who makes the decision on signings.
