Feels weird to support Sevilla tbh.

When did the transition even take place?

What is the difference between Director of Football (Snaheli) and Technical Director (Monchi)? Why do we need both roles?

Sanllehi is the overall head of the sporting side of Arsenal. The technical director will work under Sanllehi. The manager will report to the technical director.

Sketching out the overall vision, style of play, recruitment strategy, and short-term football goals is usually the technical director's domain. Of course, that's in collaboration with Sanllehi and Emery at Arsenal.

Really? So basically it will go a little something like this.

Emery to Monchi: I'd like to buy Banega
Monchi to Emery: You mad? He doesnt suit the style of play we want!
Emery to Monchi: Screw your style of play, I need results to keep this job.
Monchi to Emery: Ok, let me see what I can do.

Monchi to Snaheli: Emery wants Banega
Snaheli to Monchi: But he's 30 plus. We need to buy players with sell on value.
Monchi to Snaheli: I know but we need to keep him happy for now.
Snaheli to Monchi: Let me see what I can do.

Snaheli to Josh Kronke: We are thinking of Banega. Ever heard of him?
Kroenke to Snaheli: Come on buddy, you think I even bother to follow football.
Snaheli to Kroenke: Well he's an experienced 30 year old who...
Kroenke to Snaheli: Say no more, the answer is no.

Snaheli to Monchi: Nope
Monchi to Emery: No

Emery is fcked.

I have a different take on this.

Monchi joining Arsenal essentially means that Emery will have a say in recruiting his own boss. Emery and Monchi have already worked together before. Monchi's entry at Arsenal would therefore strengthen Emery's position and we might be looking at Emery staying here for at least 4-5 seasons unless we fall out of the elusive top-6.

With Wenger, we knew why he is as so powerful. With Emery, we're going back to the same model, albeit in a round about way.

Monchi's recruitment means two things: lots of mediocre signings and the trend of Arsenal selling their best players for dirt cheap will continue. He signs 10 players. What's the probability that one will turn out to be top quality?

Our biggest loss was Sven. We shot ourselves on the foot with that one. This won't end well.

How many people do we need to replace one guy? And why are they all rank average?

More hiring of "never was" types who think they're elite types.

Let the slightly above average continue

Sven was a bigger loss than a lot of people realize.

At least Raul, Mocchi and Emery are all on the same wave length, now there is no excuses, they have all the decision making, influence and collaboration.
