I’ll start.

As things stand, here’s what I think is needed to win the quintuple next season

1st Priority: Europa League
Szczesny
Holding Mertesacker(c) Gabriel
Bellerin --- Xhaka --- Ramsey --- Monreal
Iwobi
Lucas --- Welbeck

2nd & 3rd Priority: Premier League & FA Cup
Cech
RCB Mustafi Koscielny(c)
Oxlade --- CM --- CM --- Kolasinac
Ozil --- Alexis(AM)
Alexis(ST)

4th & 5th Priority: EFL Cup & Community Shield
Martinez
Chambers ---------- Bielik
Coquelin
Jenkinson--- Elneny --- Cazorla(c) --- Gibbs
Walcott(c) --- Wilshere
Giroud

On Standby
Macey
Debuchy(c) ---------- Pleguezuelo
Niles
Chiori --- Zelalem --- Nelson --- Bramall
Campbell --- Adelaide
Asano

*Red = Pending
*Blue = Might leave. Should be replaced with someone as good (preferably better)

Let players know in advance that the above is not fixed and subject to change depending on factors such as performance, injuries, and changes in priority. For example, any player who consistently under-performs should be demoted to a lower level priority competition and replaced with whoever’s next in line. Also, if Ozil and Sanchez stay, then let them decide which competition is most important to them and then adjust accordingly.

From what I gather, we need at least 5 signings to make the above happen (4, if you have faith in Xhaka or Ramsey).

3-4-3 is the way forward.

A player who completes the front trio with Alexis and Özil is still our biggest problem (if they stay). I wouldn't mind getting an attacking midfielder and give Alexis the forward role, but first priority would still be natural striker.

LWB is a weakness. if Kolasinac really signed for us, it should be sorted out.

Central midfield is an area, I would like to strengthen. Xhaka-Ramsey partnership with 3 centrebacks looked very promising a, but with Ramsey's injury record, his positional sense and him going into the hollywood mood often, and Xhaka's stupidness and rushness is some situations and lack of pace, I thing it is necessary to get a player of top quality to play beside one of them or even form a midfield trio in some games. I wouldn't count Cazorla in any plans. After such a long injury no one knows if he would still be able to do a job in midfield. Time to move on from Wilshere. El Neny and Coquelin are average/above average and shouldn't be starters in decisive games. One of them can go, if we got a new CM. I'd prefer Coq to stay because of his tackling, whch could be useful in some games, we just need a tackler.

A better GK should ideally be bought, but such a GL wouldn't be easy to find. Cech and Szczesny together should be ok for the next season. They should battile it out for starting spot in league. Other keeper will play FA cup and Europa league. Ospina can go. He doesn't suit us imo.

We have very good CB options. Koscielny, Mustafi, Holding, Mertesacker, Gabriel and Chambers. I thought Mertesacker was finished, but his performance in the FA cup final made ma change my mind. Ideally I would like to buy a starting CB and sell/loan one of Chambers/Gabriel, but it's not a priority.

RWB with Ox and Bellerin is more than ok.

1st lineup (League):

Cech
Holding - Mustafi - Koscielny
Oxlade - Xhaka - CM - Kolasinac
Özil - Alexis
ST

2nd lineup (EL/FA Cup):
Szczesny
Chambers - Mertesacker - Gabriel
Bellerin - Coquelin - Ramsey - Monreal
Lucas - Iwobi
Giroud

more squad players:
Martinez
Bielik
Maitland-Niles
Bramell
Cazorla
Adelaide
Welbeck

Sold:
- Ospina
- Debuchy
- Jenkinson
- Gibbs
- Wilshere
- ElNeny
- Campbell
- Walcott
- Asano
- Akpom
- Sanogo

I actually forgot about Ospina

He's probably gone anyway but if not then I'd have him play EFL cup or on standby. Either way, we need a reliable long-term goalkeeper and the sooner we get one, the better.

I don't get it - why is Europa league 1st priority ? And if that is the case why aren't we using our best team ?

Assuming we sell Wilshere and Lucas among others. Just for fun, this.

Premier League 11

Cech
Holding - Mustafi/Per - Koscielny
Chamberlain - Xhaka - Keita/Fornals - Kolasinac
Ozil -------------------------- Alexis
Belotti/Lacazette*

* Mbappe isn't happening.

Europa League 11

Ospina/Szczesny*
Gabriel - Mertesacker/Mustafi - Monreal
Bellerin - Elneny - Ramsey - Campbell
Walcott ------------------------- Wele/Onyekuru
Giroud

* Whoever stays.

On loan: Chambers, Asano, Iwobi. Huddersfield Town will easily take Iwobi and Chambers on loan.

Given what other teams who got into the CL will spend on players, the Europa League is most likely our best chance at winning a notable trophy and probably our best way into the following year's CL.

Wrt your second question, I pointed out that Ozil and Alexis should be given the option to decide which competition is most important to them (if they stay). If that's Europa league then we practically have our best team playing already. If they prefer PL then we need to consider which teams will give us the best chance at winning both competitions and given the level of competition in the EL vs. the PL, I believe what I have will allow us to go far in both competitions

Maitland Niles and Reiss Nelson promoted to first team. Two exciting players from the academy. Wonder whether MN will play central or wide? He'd make a potential Bellerin or Ox replacement if they leave.

None of these squads are good enough to win ANYTHING without Alexis.

likely starting XI next season
Cech
(Martinez)
Koscielny - Mustafi - Nacho
Gabriel - Mertesacker - Holding
Bellerin - Xhaka - Ramsey - Kolasinac
Ox - Elneny/Coq - Fornals/Ceballos - Nacho/Gibbs
Özil - Lacazette - Alexis
Welbeck - Giroud - Iwobi

think the only other big name we'd possibly get is Lemar if Alexis leaves

not bad imo

I like it but I have this irking feeling that Koscienly will not be what we expect next season. He will be 32 I think and his injury record is not good, I'm concerned we will lean on him too heavily as I don't trust Mustafi or Gabriel that much. We could always bank on Holding but I'd really like a centre half since Per is gone too.
