Same stories can be told about any top club out there.
It's well known that agents offer the same players to various clubs.

our football was f***ing spectacular during that era when we had the likes of denilson next to cesc

if we added xabi during that time it would've been considered porno material

07/08 was spectacular football up until the last few months beyond that season it was spectacular in patches when we had everyone fit like 10/11 with arshavins goal vs barca, at that precise moment which was rare we had everyone fit.

Still for the most part beyond 07/08 I felt we was flat track bullies when it came to teams that was well organised they made us look quite boring and predictable and this is when we got that reputation of trying to walk the ball in the net.

It was good football but not elite stuff, 07/08 up until the March was elite stuff though, it also makes me think wenger should revert back to a 4-4-2,he understand that formation, his never properly got to grips with anything different bar 06 cl run but we had Henry at least then.

If Wenger managed to sign Messi back then, he would have sold him to one of our rivals for sure.

During the construction era, he would have sold himself to another clubs if it was possible.

did u not watch his first season at chelsea

only period of his career where he was turd was at barca because he was never smart enough tactically to fit in centrally so had to be play as a false 9. very much english & smash and grab like in terms of his play which was his downward spiral upon his return to catalonia

First 4 months at Chelsea, but was poor in comparison after Xmas. Second season he was actual garbage, and this season struggles to make the team.

I think cesc just struggled not being the main man at barca, all his career at arsenal he is use to being the player his team mates would look to pass to the most, at barca all of a sudden he is behind xavi, iniesta and messi, if cesc is not going to be your playmaker or the guy on your team that you will look to get the ball into the most his a bit redundant.

I also think barca didn't need him xavi, iniesta in the same team, they basically just was fititng him in for the sake of it imo, this affected their team balance which further hampered him.

When his the main man though his tactically great, one of the most intelligent players in the pl, what other mother f***er could top the assist chart playing as a deep lying playmaker.

reason for his drop of form after xmas (and pretty much every other chelsea player in their title winning season) was mourinho settling for 1-0 wins. got them over the line comfortably but caused the mutiny of next season with hazard, costa & cesc all wanting to play actual good football like a top club should

this season he's got chelsea out the shit, and i think conte's finally starting to play him instead of matic. he's averaging a 1.17 goal contribution every 90 mins, absolutely mental numbers but obvs it's helped by him coming on in some dead rubber games but some times hes saved them

cesc by all accounts is a superb footballer, but i think his legs are starting to go which is normal for someone whose been playing pretty much nonstop since he was 16, and he was never the fastest or strongest int he first place
