Let him go to palace for 11M, add on a sell on clause and buy back clause simple

We have been transformed into a real life Laurel and Hardy show. You can't make this shit up.

If we don't get another striker today, however, we still need him.

Why would we loan him out when he’s free to leave at the end of the season?

Wages off the books. Not much, but it's still 1m - 2.5 million a year depending on the source you look at.
If we get another striker and he stays that is totally dead money.

Again this makes absolutely no sense at all, we rejected 11M from palace and you think it’s a good idea to let him go early to save 1-2M

Tbh at this point it wouldn’t surprised me if we did something like that with all the dumb decisions we’ve been making

Spot on, we had a 11 million offer, we should have taken it because no one is going to pay anywhere near the 20 million we wanted.

He probably won’t feature, if he goes on loan it’ll still be a loss of 8 million on what we could have got.

It makes zero sense.

If true that’s good at least as it’s not on the club,

Can’t understand why he wouldn’t move on, he has no future here unless the door isn’t closed for him.

What an idiot, he’s probably going to find himself in the championship next season, realistically that’s around the level of team willing to buy him, if he does well then he could have moved on to bigger things

Another youngster we are paying to much in wages to offload? Who was manager when he signed his last contract (genuine question)?

Not sure - he signed a 'long term' deal in 2017 in Wenger's time... not sure if there were extensions since but given he is into his last year, probably not.
His reported wages are very variable depending on where you look.

Got to take exception with this.

Laurel and Hardy are brilliant.

We always overpay bang average players who have achieved nothing.

The amount of entitlement is ridiculous.

Says it all if he'd rather spend a year on the bench than take a pay cut.

Crystal Palace would of suited his level well.

If he's any good he'd of shone there, if he isn't then he'd of been chewed up and spat out at a bigger club anyway.

Should have taken the fee tbf. Would have liked to see how he would have done at Palace tbh.

I doubt the door is closed for him.
No reason for it to be.

If we were willing to we’ll he wasn’t in our plans though.

Also I don’t think he’s got much to his game personally.

Crystal Palace were hopeful of signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, 22, but could not agree personal terms with the England Under-21 international, who will remain at the Emirates. (Star)

Seems like it's all about the money rather than playing for him
