If he'd accepted Palace's offer, they wouldn't have signed Edouard.

Lad's cost us yet again.

Why is this pubber still starting over Balogun if he’s leaving as soon as Jan / summer ?

Seems really daft. Arteta saying he really deserves the minutes doesn’t stack up to me. He turned down a chance to leave in the summer so he could get more money as a free agent.

Hardly a pubber.
Probably good enough for a club like Palace.
Perhaps he is staying though.

Wasted opportunity to play him with a partner up front. He's not a lone striker. Front three attackers had tough games and always seemed like they had two or three players on them with no support other than backwards pass.

Lol. Some people called his goal Welbeckian while the others called it Bergkamp'esque. It depends whether they rate him as a player or not. LMAO.

Yup.

His goal yesterday was a combination of a world-class piece of play to create the tap in and then a rabbit in headlights finish.
So in that sense, he did have elements of Welbeck and Bergkamp in the few seconds for that goal, lol.

I never have confidence in him in front of goal and he nearly ballsed up his goal last night as well.

We need to reinvent our attack as Auba is 32 and his contract expires summer after next, Laca is leaving this summer and Nketiah's contract also runs out this summer.

Brilliant skill to create the goal, though, eh?
We all know he didn't break through last year - yet we can still appreciate the wonderful skill he showed for that goal.
Each moment or each game doesn't have to be a referendum on whether he should be sold or stay.

Yeah, I don't think he has a long term future here. Not with that sort of performance anyway. It wasn’t poor but not enough to get into the first team. He's a poacher and would probably work best in a two man front line. Just a shame we didn't try that yesterday because I thought the same about Martinelli as well. Get the pair playing closer together through the middle and they could have caused problems. ESR also had a bad game.

Like I said - let's just enjoy the skill on the night.
We already know he's leaving.
