Although tbf Bendtner did his job and got a goal, the team we had out especially the defence was pub level, but even so Barcelona were the best team init the world then even with our full XI we would have lost

Wenger took this lot to the Nou Camp against prime Barcelona. The man had some balls.

Nothing wrong with most of those players, in their prime they’d walk into this squad :rofll:

Leno > Almunia
Sagna > Bellerin/Chambers
Vermaelen = Mari/Gabriel (although these 2 are early in their Arsenal careers and I fully expect them to improve)
Silvestre < any CB we currently have
Clichy = Tierney (Tierney's injuries working against him, clichy was more available)
Denilson > Xhaka
Diaby < Partey (early in Partey's career, but Partey is a world class CM, let see if he gets to his Athletico levels with us)
Walcott > Pepe
Nasri = Saka
Rosicky > Ceballos/Willian/ESR

Ach imo that team would get killed.
Leno who is hardly an up grade on much but is.
Sagan and clichy bombing down the wings banging crosses willy nilly to auba who dont ever hardly get near a header.
If you think we currently pass the ball sideways and backwards ffs denilsen was the king of the backwards pass how do you think his figures were so good.
Theo had no clue rosicky as good as he was for his country missed sitters 6 yards out constantly and basically turned crop circles beating himself most times,
And I wouldn't have nasri on principal , the Judas prick

On the current showing (i.e. this season in the PL for Partey) vs Diaby at his best, that is true...BUT, you could take several of Diaby's seasons and he wouldn't be as good as Elneny or Xhaka, never mind Partey.

On his day, Denilson could be very good.
He could also be very very bad.

Diaby is hard to compare to anyone, really.
Huge talent, but had glass for bones and rice paper for muscle tissue.

You can see why Chelsea academy let him and Solanke go, Abraham the one they kept and the best of the three isn’t even up to Chelsea standard.

I'm not sure about Diaby's 'huge talent' tbh. He didn't have many good games imo. Denilson was really average too.

Tammy Abraham is their top scorer in the league, but Tuchel prefers the German Morata.

Abraham is pap mate, can't stand him and his stupid face and haircut, gangly-legged clutz! The guy is tripe.

Nah, he's decent. I think he'd easily score 10-15 league goals at a mid-table club that plays him every week.

Arsenal have set a £19 million ($27m) asking price for English striker Eddie Nketiah - according to Todofichajes.

The Gunners are prepared to sell the 21-year-old in order to raise funds for new signings, with the striker having fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta.

Nketiah has been restricted to just 17 Premier League appearances for Arsenal this term and has just two goals to his name.
