A more apt comparision would be Kane who at 20 was sitting on the bench while on loan in the Championship. At 21 he managed to score a few goals for the Tottenham U21's. The following year he broke into the Tottenham first team and finished the season 31 goals in all competitions.
I'm not saying Nketiah will do the same but different players mature at different ages so these "Player X did this at the same age" type of comparisons are very idiotic.
I get what you’re saying but when you look at our rivals young CF around a similar age like Richarlison, Abraham, Rashford, Jesus theirs a big gap in terms of talent we want to challenge these teams we need better youngsters than Eddie I’m sorry.
He’s a decent player but what if Aubameyang and Lacazette were injured could you count on him in a big game again Liverpool for instance, if Aguero was injured City fans would feel confident with Jesus stepping in
Rashford is a year older(actually 18 months), United didn't have much of an option but to use him. Last year he got 10 in 33 league games. Would Nketiah get that many.. probably.
Richarlison is 2 years older - 2 years ago 5 goals in the PL (38 games)
Jesus is 2 years older - he got 13 in the league 2 years ago in 29 games
Abraham is 18 months older - he did get 25 in the Championship last year in 37 games
I am not sure any of them are that far ahead of Nketiah at the same age. Let's not forget that he scored 9 this year in very limited game time - only about 1300 minutes.
We'll see if he can step up next year. I think he needs a 10-15 goal season next year to start turning potential into something more.
