He has, but is not getting an opportunity. He's not going to hang around forever waiting.

Bye then.

Play the first team tomorrow. Get the win and top spot then play this guy in the 2 dead games.

Far too important a time to give games to kids

That 'kid' saved the first team a couple of years ago.....WTF has happened since then?

Fair enough, but why wasn't he coming on at 3-0 against Qarabag?

"Meanwhile, this was mentioned in the Rumour Mill, but it looks like both Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah are heading out of Arsenal on loan, to RB Leipzig and Augsburg respectively."

No clue who that is he’s going to, but definitely needs game time and they sound small enough that he’ll get some.

I have to say that Eddie has really disappointed me this season. Following that game against Norwich when he did a Superman impression, he's been training with the 1st team squad, so was really expecting more, when he's made an appearance this season. Those of us crying out for him to be given game time were quickly back tracking, when we watched those performances.

So another promising youngster out on loan and we wonder if he will follow the usual route. For me there have been too many promising youngsters over the past ten years or more that we can't seem to get to the next level. It proves one of two things.....either its very very difficult to make the transition from reserve team to 1st team, or we're not coaching them right!

nah loan him out, he's got no chance to do well playing such a bit part here. he should've scored a couple against blackpool (I think), he had some real sitters and it was disappointing that he missed those, but he needs regular games to stay sharp and bury those chances, he ahsn't had much of a sniff since.

Arsenal Under-23s head coach Freddie Ljungberg has revealed Unai Emery's personal intervention brought an end to Eddie Nketiah's planned loan move to the Bundesliga.

Nketiah had been set to join Augsburg for the remainder of the season, with Arsenal expecting the deal to go through in the final hours of deadline day.

It is understood that members of the Arsenal hierarchy were prepared to allow Nketiah to join Augsburg, where he was expected to get regular first-team football, having previously blocked interest from Championship clubs.

However the move fell apart following the personal intervention of Emery, who sees Nketiah as a valuable alternative to senior strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

"There's a lot of rumours about what happens," Ljungberg told football.london. "What happens behind the scenes stays behind the scenes. If the club or Eddie wants to make a statement that's a different story.

"The main thing for Eddie is that he stayed because he's so important to Unai that he wants to keep him.

"He should see that as a pat on his own back that he's important to the club even if there were offers for him to go.

"That decision was up to Unai and the big bosses. It's nothing to do with us."

Nketiah was subsequently named among the substitutes for Arsenal's 3-1 defeat at Manchester City on Sunday, the 11th time this season he has been named on a Premier League bench.

Would want to see him against Borisov

I can see wanting to keep him

We need Laca and Auba to play every game and theres no one for cover if Eddie goes.

Still hes bang average so a loan would've helped

With Welbeck hopefully never playing for us again, we still need cover this summer and send this dude out on loan
