That was an excellent performance by the lad, well done. His previous outings had left me with the impression that the number 28 shirt was being worn by the invisible Man, but last night I finally saw a player materialise.

The footballing God's have pulled our plonkers before when tricking us into thinking we once again had all the pieces of a fully functioning midfield, like when Coquelin had his break out season and Cazorla, Ozil and Sanchez appeared to have developed a telepathic link.

With Ceballos last night also looking as though the managers pre match and half time team talks must now include the use of a defibrillator, a midfield revolution appears to be underway with the likes of Ozil cast as the bourgeois elite being led to the guillotine.

Meh, it was Molde, his last good performance was against the mighty Dundalk the previous week.

When he plays in the Prem he looks lost and out of his depth, these EL performances mean nothing to me.

Got to say, Ceballos was nothing special in the game, he should be absolutely bossing the midfield in a game like this.

I hope players like Willock will come good. I'd rather we develop good players from the academy than persist with loan deals and £30m transfer fees for average prospects like Ceballos.

Hard to put in a good performance when you are not playing

He’s a number 10 isn’t he? How do you fit him into the current setup?

Missed the game but just watched the highlights and he looked great. Always trying to make things happen, and a good finisher in front of goal. Hope to see more of him.

Two ways.

Either get him to play the CM position which he can or play him against weaker opposition (i.e Molde) where him having to sit centrally isn't such a necessity.

In tougher games, no, unless we're chasing a goal, in top games you'd want two stronger CM's to boss the midfield.

Against Molde we played a 4231 with him occupying the traditional 10. Arteta doesn’t seem to favor that formation. In the league he plays a 343 with two central midfielders who are highly mobile holding players. There is no way Willock beats out Partey or Elneny in that formation. We should loan him out and raise his market value before cashing in.

Hes been pretty good lately in the Europa but i'm not sure what he gives that will make a difference in a league game.

Reminds me of Delle Ali. But again in the current 433 obsessed world these players are stranded.

You mad? Saka should start in that position. We need to fatten this goose and then sell him.
