They spent 40M on Joelinton recently they have the money, the fact that they’ve already had a taste of what he can do it’s more incentive for them to buy him.

If Ceballos/Odeegard had been scoring/assisting for fun here we wouldn’t care if most of our transfer budget went on them

The Joelinton buy has set them back years. That's precisely why they won't offer more than £20m for him. He has to go to Everton, Leicester or West Ham for us to get a decent fee.

Arteta has already said he is coming back to Arsenal. Everything is situational I hope for Joe who has found his feet in a group and achieving, that he is not now pissed around with by our manager and in such slow down or kill off his momentum and subsequently halt his career which at this moment looks promising where he is

I'm so torn on what to do with Joe. I'd love to see him back here and given more of a chance next season, but if Newcastle or any other club come and put 25m+ on the table it'd be tough to turn down.

He has a bad attitude from what I hear. Arrogant and unfriendly.

Probably why he was sent out.

Yet Newcastle love him and he's flourished.

Maybe its the "Flash but useless" culture Arsenal seems to endorse that's the problem.

He's doing well at an average club with average players who's sole ambition every season is to finish 17th.

Just seen his goal

Exactly what we need here. Ran with the ball and a great finish at the end.

He's won me over.

Bring him home. Sack Arteta and play Willock how he's supposed to be played

Arteta would play him as wing back.

Dribbled past the entire defense from inside the halfway line before scoring.

Grade F: took a shot when a sideways pass opportunity was on.

Newcastle are a very badly run club but it's very hard to imagine they don't have an option to buy.

Willock's contract runs out in 2023 so we either give him a new one or sell him ... can see us giving him a four year contract and then loaning him straight back to Newcastle for the first season, that probably works for everyone.

Worse case he comes back doesn't sign a new deal and runs down another year on his contract, at which point he will have us by the balls ... even we can't be that stupid, can we?

Did an interesting comparison between Willock and Odegaard. My findings...
- Willock is more attacking: goals scored, shots on target etc
- Willock has a better defensive game: blocks, tackles, interceptions
- But Odegaard has significantly better passing range: number of passes and pass completion

Willock is a more traditional number ten. While we would need a Buendia to replace Odegaard.

He is nothing like a no 10 Swpiey, he is no playmaker, he is Ramsey without the flicks and turns, box to box, better offensively than defensively hence the goal scoring
