No worries. We at least know Willock is good enough to score in the Prem and it wasn’t just the weaker EL clubs he could do it against.

His problem wasn’t in terms of scoring, it’s just that he’s awful at everything else, one of these players who excels at smaller clubs because they have one good trait to give for example Crouch and his height at Stoke.

Yep, plus as I said these goals were largely as a sub when they were throwing the kitchen sink at teams. He scored on his debut and then went about 8 games starting and did nothing, a few late goals that get attention and suddenly people act like he’s any good lol.

Let’s just take the money and move on.

He was good against wolves and Aston Villa

The sample size in the chart below is a bit small, but Willock does excel in more areas than just scoring goals (pressures, interceptions). He's also below par in other aspects (progressive passes, passes into final third and pass accuracy).

He'd do well as an 8.5 in a three man-midfield for a high-intensitity gegenpressing/counter-attacking team. Coaches like Bielsa or Hasenhüttl would get the most out of him.

We need to sell him now while stock is high, let be honest if he comes back to Arsenal he’ll play poor/won’t make the starting lineup and his value will go right back down to 2M

Tbh we’ve seen this before a few times with Arsenal youngsters Joel Campbell for example we could have sold him for at least 25M after his World Cup, but we chose to keep him and his value went down and practically sold for nothing

Then there’s Gnabry who we sold for 5 mil.

If he's allowed to make the late runs in to the box instead of being part of the pass pass pass pass crap then keep

The problem with Willock is footballing brain and technical ability. Yes he has the knack of making late runs and scoring goals, like Ramsey did, but he has a fraction of Ramsey's technical ability - and that with Ramsey being hated by half the fanbase.

Willock runs alot and chips in with goals, fine, but his all round game is way below par. So I guess it depends on whats important to the team. We could do with goals from midfield but our gameplay would suffer with him playing because the other assets of his game are not there.
