He's helping to lower Real's Odegaard asking price. Both ESR and Saka. Another brilliant performance.

But he didn’t interfere with the shot so isn’t he “inactive “?

Seems like a very good player, we’re lucky to have him and Saka.

I believe that's only if someone else had scored from that opportunity.

You may be right. But my understanding of the rule is that if Saka shot and the keeper didn’t handle it then ESR would be offside. If Saka shot and the keeper handled it and ESR somehow impeded the keeper or touched the ball he’d be offside. But if Saka shot, the keeper handled it, ESR did not impede the keeper and tapped in the ball off the post then he is not offside. But I haven’t seen anyone else make this argument so I assume I have somehow got it wrong.

Both good players but ESR's willingness to join the WF's in running at the box makes the difference.

His close ball control in the box is what made the Pepe goal.

This is why I say £50m for Odegaard, Real can fk off, we already have a superior CAM who they can't bend us over a barrell for.

This that asking would be ridiculous for Odeegards agehe’s very inexperienced in terms of game time, by his age Ozil was first choice for RM and Fabregas was captaining us

Nah, you can't stand in offside position and take advantage of a saved shot.

Madrid have said that they're not selling Odegaard, Vinicius and one other player I can't remember. ESR I hope will be ready to play 30+ PL games next season.

Unless he gets injured, no reason he can't play all 38 games plus the cups.
We don;t need Odegaard anyway - he's not as good as ESR.
What we need is back up for ESR OR back up for Saka on the right, because I think Saka can play ESR's position.
When you consider Pepe can also play on the right, we potentially even have cover there now.

Does more work than Ozil ever did,
For me he reminds me a little of Brady, the work rate anyways, does not have the Brady class yet let's hope he gets there

If he becomes half as good and successful as Ozil was he will have an amazing career ! Because work makes a good player LOL

Hoddle must've been shit cos he didn't work much, same with Le Tissier all those goal of the seasons but he didn't work hard so he must've been shit

I don't think it will be long for him to reach the stage where he could grace ANY team in world football and look good.

He's not Ozil's level yet, for sure.
But he could get there.
