He was taken off because of a slight injury to his hamstring. If he's able to stay fit he'll own that 10 role. He's active. I like how he's able to drift to both wide areas to help support attacking play but will make those crucial runs into the box.

Agreed, he is difficult to play against because he roams around picking up space, he makes simple passes and utilises the "one-two" very well. Because of that its difficult to stop him doing what he does, unlike say a dribbler who you know will run at you.

I would like to see him dribble more with the ball sometimes though, he’s got the ability to though even though he rarely utilises it, need to find the balance like Rosicky did, can’t see him reaching his full potential under Arteta though, ESR needs a coach like Klopp, Pep or Wenger to become world class.

They’ll never stick around long enough. It’s like what Wenger used to try and do.

I can understand ESR, Saka and Tierney, but not Holding and Chambers.

Agreed. Any credibility to that notion is lost upon the inclusion of Holding and Chambers ahead of Martinelli and Magalhaes' talent wise, never mind that they also don't match the profile of the others regards age and development in the context of the proposal.

Best player of the season. His football brain is exceptional. Now he's even adding goals to his game. Unless he gets unlucky with injuries I'm fairly certain that he will also be our best player next season.

Reckon they expect Saka and ESR to stay here for 7-8 years like Cesc and van Persie did. First, ESR and Saka most likely aren't van Persie/Cesc tier players. Secondly, if things remain as they are, or even if we improve, I doubt Saka and ESR would be willing to spend 7-8 years at Arsenal.

If we don't improve substantially, they will push for moves within the next 3-4 seasons. That's assuming they hit world class levels.

Chambers and Holding, I'd presume, would be happy to stay at Arsenal until the end of their careers, or unless we push them out.

It makes some circus sense to rely on the duo of ESR and Saka. Martinelli and Gabriel? Well, Arteta doesn't seem to be fond of Martinelli. He's usually comes up with banana bread excuses to exclude Martinelli from the starting line-up. Gabriel, on the other hand, defo won't stick around unless we pay him big money.

It's all suppositions now. You really can't make much sense of what Arsenal are trying to achieve as of late.
