Neither, he’s more like Rosicky both of them are quick tempo, 1-2 type players, good dribblers, hard working and like Rosicky both of them excel even more playing on the left

Great shout.

Which is normal for most 21 year olds

Is it really? I left home as soon as I could and I didn't have the money to help me.

It must be a boy thing. If you go to Uni you have to leave home at 18!!!

People are settling down with partners later these days and the price of housing makes it much tougher for young people than it was for generations past. Obviously the money won't be a blocker for ESR, but it is more normal these days.

Wanted my independence immediately.

Great shout.

A great example of how you can have 60K gooners in the Emirates and all of them come away having drawn a different conclusion from the exact same observation and importantly, none of them be wrong as such whilst at the same time all of them being right to a degree.

Whilst I get the gist of the comparison with Little Mozart, when I watch ESR, I tend to see some similarities in his game he shares with two more of our former players, Paul Merson and Xanda Hleb but as yet not at the peak levels of performance they were producing at the height of their arsenal careers.

Defo not a Gerard Clone, nor Merson or Hleb......a bit like Scholes and Rosicky, maybe a bit of each.

He does have the directness of Rosický and Kaká. Whilst ESR's one-touch passing is reminiscent of the former, his style of ball-carrying is evocative of the latter. Just like Kaká, Smith Rowe looks faster with the ball at his feet than without it. (Albeit ESR is fairly quick over short distances, he doesn't quite have prime Kaka's blistering pace.)

Not sure how anyone thinks he is like Scholesy, Scholes didn't run with the ball.

Wasn’t scholes more in the Gerrald, Lampard, Fabregas category?
Those long distance / range passes, cross field passes etc.
I am yet to see ESR make those kinds of surging long range passes like scholes used to.

I do think he is more in the technical give and take (1-2 passing category).
