Great again today. Glad to see him play well with Odegaard alongside him.

Looks like it could be a fruitful combination.

ESR one touch is so great.

The little flair touch at the start to manipulate the ball into his stride. :yum:

Tbf Odegaard was tidy on the ball but overall ESR outshone him today which is nice to know we have our own player of that level and more ......... someone Real Madrid can't try to bend us over the table to buy.

Same here. Initially thought it was a scuffed shot but like to give him the benefit of the doubt, just like with Saka's goal against Chelsea.

(There's no rule that says there has to be 'intention' in order for an assist to count, though.)

Great replacement for Ozil.

Costs a fraction of the cost and is hungry and just at the start of his career, him, Saka and Martinelli should be the future of this team.

Along with Gabriel, Tierney, Partey the future for this team is actually looking up for once.

We just need to edge out the remaining deadwood.

What a start to his professional career. Wow. Can’t think of too many players that have had such a quick impact.

Feel sorry for him he really looked upset when he can of the pitch, hopefully he’s mentally ready for the next game and he doesn’t let it disturb his form, assuming Arteta doesn’t start giving him the same treatment he has with practically every other youngster, which will certainly mess with his head.

Can you give some examples of where young players have not played as I have posted the minutes of the players 23 and under who have got minutes under arteta many times and this keeps coming up
Can you give examples of where youth has been given a chance so I know where to draw comparison with

Smith Rowe has played 60+ minutes in every Premier League game since he started at Chelsea.
