Spot on.....a defensive midfielder who could pass. But he was like a wall, attacking midfielders had to pass rather than try and get past him. He was my fave player for a couple of seasons. In fact just did a bit of research and he was voted second best player by the fans in 2011/12, so not just me then!

He then left for Barca for 15m. Seems a lot of our best players go there but don’t make much impact.

Song was a bloody toss pot. A mediocre player that Wenger squeezed maximum value out of. Unfortunately he was too damn think to realize what a good thing he had going. He was always going to collapse under his mediocrity the minute he left Arsenal. He just got fired by some pubbers in the Swiss league.

Song was voted our second best player in his last season in the player of the year vote, he was playing some superb box to box footy and had a awesome understanding with RVP, hence why Barcelona poached him, he flopped at Barca then went down hill from there.

Have we started playing football in the Emerates era or are we still just putting in appearances and getting attendance certificates?

Who’d you rather? Peak Giroud, Sanchez, Ozil, or Laca, Auba, Pepe?

Giroud, Sanchez, and Ozil

Swap Laca for a playmaker, and I'd have to really think about it.

Can't leave Sanchez out.

Now, if you tell me Auba, Alexis, and Ozil..

--------- Auba
Alexis - Ozil - Dgaf

Firstly, you can’t mix eras. Might as well throw in a Henry and Bergkamp while you’re at it. Secondly, Auba and Alexis are too similar in terms of starting positions. Alexis worked well with Giroud because he set him up. Auba works well with Laca cause he drops deeper.

There's no contest peak Sanchez and Ozil were two of the best players in the world at their peak. Obvs not Giroud, but at his best he was a valuable player.

Peak Pepe? Remind me when that was.....the day he scored two free kicks? Laca......well he's not even at Girouds level .....and Auba has gone missing too often. Quite honestly a stupid question and one that I'm only bothering to respond to, cos I'm on hold to HMRC for 20mins and counting! :)
