My sentiments pretty much.

We're going to give the future of this club to a man who has exactly "zero" managerial experience?

........... sounds about right.

This club is going to the dogs and fast and its because of stupid decisions like this one.

Tbf though after what seems like a life time of Wenger I would happily take the punt, but if it all falls through and he gets shown up it'll be pretty easy to say I told you so.

Another Arsenal gamble.

I agree with you DG but look at LA Rams. Kroenke and co. named Sean McVay Head coach. They literally gave the future of that franchise to a man who is 31 years old and had no experience as a head coach and tbh he is doing great. That means it will not suprise me if they give it to Arteta. Expect the unexpected with them in charge.

Guardiola had no managerial experience aside from a season at Barcelona b
Arteta would be a punt
You don't have to be married to him for 21 years
If it goes wrong you go again
He knows the club and was pinpointed by guardiola as someone he could work with
Don't let the grass grow again

Arsenal are preparing for the possibility of Arsène Wenger leaving the club this summer & are considering Carlo Ancelotti as a serious candidate to replace him. [@JamesOlley] #afc

No final decision has yet been taken on Wenger’s future, with plenty depending on Arsenal’s fortunes during the second-half of the season but senior figures at the club believe Wenger could give serious consideration to cutting his contract short. [@JamesOlley] #afc

Arsenal are also impressed with Mikel Arteta’s coaching career at Manchester City, but the former #afc captain has no managerial experience, while Ivan Gazidis admires Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri. [@JamesOlley] #afc

He needs to go, I don't think Wenger can actually hack hanging around while they prepare the club for life without him by eroding his powers for the last 12 months of his tenure if its not started already.

That coupled with the fact that it's looking like we're about to have the worst year we've had, no top 4, poss no cup (will know more on that after tonight), losing Sanchez and likely losing ozil, Wenger will be a shell of a man come this time next year.

I'm actually at a point where I don't care who they get in next just as long as this leech is ejected from management, he's wielded too much power over this club for too long at least whoever takes over next won't have anywhere near that much influence and will hopefully ....... finally ........ be judged on merit only like every other manager.

Good point but Rams legend Eric Dickerson made that (not hire new coach but firing of Jeff Fisher) happen. If only Henry had balls to call Wenger out then Kroenke would do it.

Leonardo Jardim, or Simeone or no one for me. Ancelotti and guys at his level are used to playing with unlimited funds and the best team in the league. They will be no better than Koeman if they come here.

Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to take over from Arsène Wenger at Arsenal from next season, with the Italian earning €10m per year on a four-year contract. [Corriere dello Sport] #afc

Arsenal made the offer for Ancelotti to take over from the start of the 2018/19 season in late November/early December, which subsequently made Ancelotti reject the Italy national team manager position. [Corriere dello Sport] #afc

Here's the counter to the non-story

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... l-11833571

I do think he's in the frame but this could be anyone from now till Summer so I'm not celebrating until then.

I'm not that hot on Ancelotti anyway but yeah, anythings better than Wenger.
