He wants the bigger paycheque and the illusion of managing a big club, so he can get another painting of himself commissioned.

He'll crumble once the boos start ringing out at the Emirates.

Can't argue with the job he's doing at Leicester.

Or the fact that his teams play for him. 100%...at least until the wheels come of or your best players leave.

If he does come here then hopefully he brings Kolo back home with him.

don't see much wrong with a bit of ambition. with all due respect to leicester they aren't the same institution we are. in football you have to take your opportunities cause they may not come again.

there's a vacancy here and it seems he fancies it. he has no real loyalties to leicester, it's a dog eat dog world. i mean they sacked a manager a few months after he delivered their first title ffs.

If 1st place couldn't save Ranieri, 4th will get Rodgers even less time. Rodgers has been through this already with Pool so he knows that. A great season is hard to replicate.

I'm concerned that the state of our players will put off any candidates who actually want to win things.

The board have an uncomfortable fact to accept, yes we've done the "let go of the manager instead of the squad" but guess what, the squad are as big a problem as Emery was.

There are some easy fixes though, we need a CB and a refit of our midfield, we need a CDM, a box to box (basically a Ramsey) and another CM.

Our midfield is fkin pants, we have enough effective strikers to work with, Martinelli, Auba and Laca are all talented strikers, our CB's are shank but we the new kids coming in summer so we really need one for now.

CB
CDM
CM

............ and we're in business, or at least the start of it.

Rodgers actually sounds like a good idea, we need someone who is grass roots enough to want to improve players, Allegri won't want to do that, he'll want a better squad.

If Rodgers can make Arsenal as bold and effective as he has Leicester then I'm all for it.

Rumors going right now tonight that Arsenal board badly want Rodgers, and are not even interested in guys like Allegri, and have already counted him out in the past before they got Emery.

I don't know if its true or not, but lots of media reporting that now on twitter

How would you guys feel if we got Rodgers?. happy? not happy? unsure?

Depends on the result.

If he gets us firing full throttle like he has Leicester then I'm down 100%.

I want an English speaking manager as well tbf, so much happier listening to Lujnbergs presser today clealy understanding wtf they're trying to accomplish and what they think of the game.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers: "I have a contract here until 2022. Thus far, I know managers are losing their jobs, the club have not indicated to me that they are going to sack me. I am very happy so would have no need to look elsewhere.

"Why would I want to leave Leicester City at this time? I am working with a group of players who have so much potential. I gave an honest answer about how all managers have some sort of clause in their contracts and suddenly that seems to have thrown a door wide open.

"For me I repeat, I am happy here. Very happy here. I feel I want to continue with that. Take from that what you want.”

He's staying

Great, maybe the media can STFU with the same question every week.
