I don’t see the harm in giving him a run of games it’s not like Willian/Pepe are doing an better and puttting Nelson on the left means Auba can play central, Martinelli aside who is injured Nelson is probably our best direct dribbler.

Worst case scenario he turns out to be another Iwobi and we move him on best case scenario we have a Sterling/Sancho level player on our hands

Had the talent, so far not lived up to it unfortunately..seems a bit of the lazy brit syndrome but, as above, what is the harm in giving the lad a few games to prove himself?

Can't do any worse than the others and if he does well we can keep him in or even sell him for decent money.

Rusty but the only one that looked like a football player with the technical ability to play for Arsenal.

Needs more minutes, shame for him Pepe gave a decent showing as well.

I’d start pepe purely on his price tag since we need to try and force him into being worth it or at least recoup 40m. Give Nelson some time on the LW and move Saka into the mid or give him some rest every now and again.

The one thing I like about Nelson is he directly attacks and runs at the defense.

That's how we opened up their defense today, deep runs inot the box by Nelson and Willock in particular.

Refreshing to see a winger running at defender and being direct, can’t really judge him fairly this performance seeing as he was only on the pitch for 10 men.

The only criticism I would have is that he shouldn’t be allowed to take set pieces, they’re the same as Willian’s.

I just hope that he gets a run of games especially now that Pepe is banned for three and Saka is injured, knowing Arteta though Aubameyang, Laca and William will start as a trio again next game.

Played well today. Should get more PL time. Should be subbed on for 30 mins frequently.

About time Arteta played this guy, better performance today than anything William and Pepe have put in, he’ll only improve with more consistent game time.

It’s nice to see someone who can actually run at defenders and dribble when wide.

Yeah, I feel the same. We need two pacey wingers down both flanks causing problems. Reiss should be starting. When I look at that line up and the midfield especially, I doubt we'd have done as well without actual wingers causing a threat.

One of the players we should be looking to replace Pepe with. Technically he's not good enough yet, needs to work more on his finishing.

ESR could play in his wide role as well, but I think we are looking to use him more centrally.

Arteta better start this guy ahead of Willian from now on he’s so much better and unlike Willian theirs room for development

Hopefully he starts. Willian looked sharper today so hopefully they both start.
