Gnabry went for basically nothing and a few years later we had to spend big on a winger (Pepe), who still hasn’t reached the level we paid big for, Auba and Willian will be gone soon due to age, with Artetas treatment of Nelson and Martinelli I don’t think they’ll be willing to wait around for 2-3 years for those two to go.

So 2-3 years from now assuming the two youngsters leave, Auba/Willian out of contract, that will leave us with Saka and Pepe meaning we have to spend big again on another winger and a backup player.

Honestly the way this club is run is just poor in general we set ourselves up for these things, Chelsea can afford to lose the likes of KDB, Salah and Lukaku because they have the funds to bring in world class players every season but we don’t.

Pogba left Man U and went to Juve, another super club, where he was a regular starter. Leading up to that he was a regular starter for the French U21s

Nelson is only a bit-part player for the England U21s, which club is coming in calling for him ???

Sancho went to Dortmund and played a starring role, KDB was already a decent player hence why Chelsea bought him in the first place.

To my mind at least, Nelson going on a season long loan to somewhere like Palace should prove the best option for him to take regards getting his career back on track.

As things stand regards his prospects of a fruitful arsenal career, metaphorically speaking the surgeon is already stood over him having administered a shot of adrenaline and has now got the paddles of the difibrillator in hand and about to shout 'CLEAR'.
