Something unbelievable probably means Barca coming forth with a £30m bid for Ozil in January.

I doubt Ozil would move in January in a World Cup year. Not ideal.

Same for Alexis with Bayern except he doesn't have a World Cup to look forward to - so a relatively hefty bid and Arsenal will consider.

Arsene doubling down .... their values dropped from 100m last summer to 50m this January, and will be nothing come June .... if win the EL or finish top four then it makes some kind of sense ....

BUT ... we will still need to spend 150m or more to replace them .......

and don't forget who's fault it is that we're in this mess in the first place ......

£50m in January? Nowhere near, mate.

We'll be extremely fortunate to receive a bid worth half that.

Neither player was worth £100m going into the last year of their contract last summer, that's also bogus.

Had both players 2+ years on their contract we'd get near that figure, but that was never the case in June.

Their market rate is £20-30m atm. If some club is desperate, they may pay around £35m, but that's unlikely.

If we do sell them in Jan, I don't expect us to get more than £25m.

People forget though

If we sell these two, we'll have to replace both

If their contract expires, we will replace one

Nobody bid for Ozil... Sanchez had agreed a contract with city, until we got embarrassed by Lemar.

No one know's what's going to happen but Wenger is already delivering his sales pitch by making them seem like an in-demand commodity.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we're minus one come February, I actually think it could be Ozil, City don't need to rock the boat when they are sailing full steam toward the title.

Teams like Barca and Utd could use an injection following missing out on Coutinho and chasing City and apparently both are interested in Ozil.

If we’re kicking in and looking good to challenge for the top places, we would be utterly retarded to sell Ozil for what would be no more than £20m to Man Utd.

If we sell them in January it will be the most pointless thing ever. We had all summer to sell them and we didn't. £20-£30 million is not worth anything cos out performances will dip even more than they already have.

Rather we keep em until the end but I think we have to come to the realization that both will be in the PL next season, just not here. More heartache ffs.

20M or more early in January for for either and we should take it and get the replacements in the same window better than loosing them for free in the summer.

The person in charge of Arsenal contract negotiations should be sacked tbh RVP was a 60M+ and his time and we got robbed for 22M, Nasri was at least 40M+ but we sold him for 24M also due to his contract, now Sanchez and Ozil who'd easily fetch 50M+ each with good contracts are probably going to go for between 0-20M each. We got lucky with Chamberlain at 35M because Liverpool were desperate and didn't wanna break the bank for Lemar but I can't see anyone being generous with Sanchez and Ozil bids.

If he ends up at Utd and is unleashed week in, week out with a manager who understands his strengths and covers his weaknesses it will be the biggest indictment against our club, manager and fans I've seen for a long time.

I'm embarrassed that a section of our fans had the audacity to question his quality and we seem to have turned a loyal player who wasn't hawking for a move away like Sanchez is, into finally giving in and seeing the greener grass away from us.

I'm not denying he looked poor and out of sorts in the early games this season and in some stages last season, but that was more to do with our team playing like utter dog sh*t in general and even Ozil can't polish a turd, people then having a go at him for not playing like Coquelin?

It looks like we've screwed this one up, if its Utd, Mourhino will turn him into his Wesley Sneijder of the Inter Milan team.

Then we will look like a small fry team who can't handle star players.

As a diversion, let's talk about players whose contracts expire at the end of next season: Walcott, Welbeck, Ramsey, Cech, and Giroud.

Players whose contracts expire at the end of the season: Ozil, Alexis, Wilshere, Campbell.

Jeremy Wilson is reporting that we have started preliminary discussions with Welbeck and Ramsey. There are no on-going contract talks with Ozil, Alexis, or Wilshere.

Giroud and Walcott are set to depart in the summer. Wilshere is a goner too. Alexis will leave for sure - only question is if it's in Jan or in the summer.

Alexis scored 30 goals last season. He's been our leading goal scorer since he's joined. No winger has scored more than Alexis in the Premier League since his arrival. I'm not sure who would be able to reproduce that once he's gone.

A sticky position to be in.

In rather uplifting news, nonetheless, we shall continue to be clowns by offering Welbeck a Theo-esque deal.

Ramsey will no doubt sign a £150k a week deal.

Gosh, I just wish either one of Alexis or Ozil stayed. :(
