Agreed, time to bin both and move on. What disgusting excuses for human beings both are

One snake wants to join United, the other is sulking to join City, despite interest from elsewhere. All disgusting people

Stop being emotional. You have absolutely no idea what is happening behind the scenes, what promises may have been broken, etc.

Wenger is a pathological liar as we know

It's not their fault. Just as it wasn't van Persie's fault, or in hindsight, Cesc's fault although Ozil and Alexis' situation is more saddening as they came to Arsenal at the peak of their careers - trusting Wenger, trusting Arsenal.

If we, as fans, are sick and tired of Arsenal, imagine how those world class players might feel. They'd be disgusted. And it's not like they're earning astronomical wages either if we're to put it in context. Both could easily earn £400k a week if they wished, but that's not why they're frustrated. It's the overall environment at Arsenal, which is very, very toxic—with a manager who has no chance of winning the League.

This board is a pretty good sample. Most Gooners here have become apathetic. It's reaching a stage where people wouldn't even be bothered watching Arsenal games—not because there is no excitement, but simply for the reason that Arsenal has become a cold institution that isn't any different to a government-run beaureacracy. What's the point honestly?

It is their fault.

They should perform on the pitch until the last day of their contracts, simple. In fact, I'm glad they're only getting paid a pittance compared to real world class players cos they ain't acting like world class palyers.

Yup

Throwing a sulk, not shaking your manager's hand, getting mystery illnesses, and there are still Arsenal fans supporting them. How far our fans have fallen, they think we should be grateful to get to see Ozil and Sanchez play, when it's the opposite, they should be grateful they played for us. Sad that our fans have fallen so low.

They should be grateful?

We tricked them into coming here, just imagine what we told Sanchez and Ozil when we were signing them about our ambition etc ........ its us who didn't keep our side of the bargain.

How many top players like Fabregas, RVP etc do we have to lose before we admit we dress up like a top club but have the ambition of a stoner.

Quite frankly they are lucky they can just walk away and not put up with the BS, they don't have to lower their standards.

Right now I think Arsenal are showing what they're really all about (for once) and Ozil and Sanchez want nothing to do with it.

The club is just a mess. From a football point of view letting their contracts run down makes no sense. From a business point of view it makes no sense either. We are neither building a team round our two best players or selling them for a huge profit. We will effectively be losing them for free or £20 million which is nothing in this market.

To say Ozil and Sanchez should be grateful to wear the shirt is wrong. They are not two has been whose careers we resurrected. They were two world class players who happened to be playing for clubs with other world class players better than them. They surely must have been promised something because they had no shortage of suitors when moving here.

As DG had already pointed out, this isn't the first time top players have left us. This time I have a feeling it will be a while before we recover.

Please offer them whatever they ask for. We really can't afford to lose either. Without these two, we're down to Welbeck and Iwobi.

People always say stuff like that after a good game from the pair but forget exactly that these two are part of the problem. If they performed to their best for even just 75% of PL matches then we'd do much better.

Liverpool almost won the league when they had 2 world class players in Gerrard and Suarez, Arsenal almost came 4th.

While I partly agree, the problem is much deeper at Arsenal than it was at Liverpool in that particular season, and this dates back to before Alexis and Ozil. We have deep-lying fundamental issues. Even in that Liverpool side, you're forgetting the deadly SAS/SSS alongside Gerrard and Coutinho. Apart from Ozil and Alexis, we've had a stellar line-up of Ramsey, Xhaka, Welbeck, Walcott, Coquelin, Flamini, Arteta, et al in their time here. Most of these players can have great games, but they're simply not in the same mold, technically, as even SSS/Gerrard/Coutinho, or any player who's playing for a top-4/top-5 side.

You also can't ignore how Ozil and Alexis have had incredible individual seasons and if they had the support, we could have won the League or at least competed. Two players can't do much when the odds are stacked against them. And, as painful as it is, we were a side with technical wizards in the past, but today - we have the most technically inept or lopsided players in the top-4/top-5 of the Prem.

When Wenger gets his tactics/match selection right, we usually enter a winning run. But sadly that only happens during one-half of the season and most of the time, it's after February. Even this season, it's October and this is when we start AOL. It's not a one-off either. We start slowly, end strongly. That's been our mantra over the past few seasons.

Coming back to Liverpool, you have to remember that Gerrard was one of the world class players at Liverpool - a CM. When we had Santi at CM, we weren't/aren't usually as horrid as we are without him. Without a world class/top quality CM, it's almost impossible to when the League (unless you have Messi).

There are many underlying issues. With Ozil and Alexis (and Ramsey, for he's been brilliant in the FA Cup finals), we've at least won three FA Cups. Even when we had van Persie, Cesc, Rosicky, Arshavin, Nasri, etc., we didn't win anything (not counting the FA Cup in 2005 for van Persie/Cesc). These are players you'd expect to perform brilliantly, but we've never had a solid team, save for 07/08, under Wenger post-2006.

It's unfair to pinpoint Ozil and Alexis here. I've always maintained that we should offer them £250k+ a week. It's not only a question of keeping them; it's also about replacing them, maintaining our image, and as fans - hoping to see two of our best players remain at Arsenal.
