Lets be glad he didn't!! How many times this season should Jesus/Havertz or Saka have scored !!

Swings and roundabouts, its not like we haven't missed loads of decent chances ourselves

The defence is building up a big reputation now.
I think we are seeing why Arteta has shifted things this year to create more balance - it's made us better than last year as a team.
We're certainly going to need that defence to stay on top form in the run in.
It will be tested.

It was tested last night and failed abysmally.

Need to get back to basics. Stop running around with their heads up their Arsenals.

Getting heavily criticised by Merson for making the changes and not leaving enough options on the bench.

Totally f***ked it. Unnecessarily changed a winning formula, reverted us back to something similar to early season and - guess what - outcome was largely the same as early season. What a f***ing shocker.

I mean that was the biggest frustration tbh.

Second half 15 minutes in we could see what was happening

Yet he waits an age to make changes and just keeps the same shape and tactics.

It was bizarre tbh.

Should have brought on Martinelli, Jorginho and Kiwior. Taken off Jesus , Trossard and Zini and gone back to what's been working so well for us.

I’ve noticed our press isn’t as effective nowadays, I actually think the problem with this tactic is that it’s not sustainable, it’s too energy zapping.

We use it game after game and it’s catching up with us like it did last season.

Difference is this season we’ve had massive breaks and a favourable run with games and breaks, that’s changing a bit now.

Generally teams only use this tactic in selected games.

Agreed, next season we need much more quality to last the distance

Maybe, but I don't know if a massive amount has changed actually. It's always been a burst strategy and it gave great results in the first half. But it's a risk if you don't get the goal(s) you need.

For me the problem is more that we overextended. You usually do it for 20 minutes spells not an entire half, which we seemed to do.

Club can probably bank on another 100m from CL qualification next season as well. Good to see our spending won't be held back.

Hah, chump change versus real change.
