Under Wenger, I'd probably prefer this team.

But under Emery... Ozil just doesn't fit, does he?

Ceballos is a #8. He's closer to Eriksen than he is to Kroos, but that doesn't make him a legit CAM.

Unai prefers to play #8s as #10s usually, so I won't be surprised if he plays as a CAM though.

If we go 4-3-3 with Ceballos, Xhaka, and Torreira, I'd drop Ozil. In a 4-2-3-1, it's gotta be Torreira-Ceballos-Ozil.

Laca on the other hand has been brilliant as the main striker. His hold up play has been excellent. Our best attacking performances have come with Auba on the left and Laca through the middle.
Only played on the left 8 times last season. 24 of his goals came from the centre. The reason he was invisible often last season because his services needed to come from f***ing iwobi.

He is our best striker we have at the club. I reject the idea of moving out of position just to accomodate a lesser striker.

Auba needs a good set of wingers. Pepe is a match made in heaven for him

Can't put that on Iwobi. He and Kolasinac were the most creative for us on the left wing. Central midfield was poor along with the other side. Ozil and Mkhitaryan were poor by their own standards.

Lack of creativity behind through the middle and on the right meant call creativity came down the left.

I hope that Guendouzi and Torreira step up this season and keep Xhaka out of the side.

I can tolerate Xhaka and Guendouzi seperately, but not in the same team. If last season wasn't enough proof that they can't play together, then today should have been. So here's hoping Torreira can play 50 games...

Auba was devastating at Dortmund when he had proper wingers feeding him. Hoping he can replicate that form this season if we wrap up a Pépé.

Let my hatred of Xhaka get the better of me. Guendouzi it is.

If we have to drop Ozil to play 4-3-3, I would rather have Willock than Xhaka. Xhaka is just way too slow.
Ceballos, Willock and Torreira would be our strongest 3-man midfield.

Xhaka starting games has to be my biggest concern for the season. CM is a too much of a pivotal role to have a weak player feature. We have enough options to keep him out of the team but I worry he'll be a first team regular.

We have a weak defence but if you dominate a game with attack for most games, it can cover our weak defence. But with a player like Xhaka, it's impossible. Lacks the energy and work rate to help mount rapid attacks or snuff out potential threats to protect the back. He's the one player Emery has to recognise as weak link early on this season.

--------------------Lacazette

-----Auba-----------Ozil------------Pepe

---------Torreira/ Ceballos-----Xhaka

Kola-----holding-----Sokratis---belerin

--------------------Leno

Tierney for Kola if we get him, considering Xhaka maybe the main captain I put him in the lineup, so I guess depending on opposition you swap Torreira for Ceballos

Or, we can drop Ozil for more defensive games, play Luiz as DM and bring in Holding when he's ready.
