How the hell do you spend $5B on a stadium?

Considering the cost of Land in London, which is extremely high, compare that with his much stadia like Wembley cost and it doesn't make any sense.

It's not just a stadium. The stadium itself is around $2bn.

It's also for an entertainment district, a new NFL Network headquarters, and access roads and utilities at the site. And, making sure everything is earthquake-proof has caused the costs to skyrocket.

Still ridiculous, but helps explain the exorbitant cost.

For comparison, if the new Wembley was built today, it would cost around $1.5bn—probably closer to $1.8bn after all costs are taken into account.

Almost as if they've never heard of banks, loans and bonds in America. They have either use their own money or steal the taxpayer's to fund these big stadiums. Someone should send our board over there to teach the yanks how to negotiate to get money from financial institutions instead of blackmailing the local people to take their team away unless the local council votes to pay for it all.
