There is very little between Mustafi andf Gabriel...they are basically on same level

I think Mustafi adds a toughness and level of composure that Gabriel lacks. This Arsenal team is soft and easily bullied. I think less so when Mustafi is on the pitch.

His rapport with Ozil is also a plus.
