Mustafi is poor, someone said he could have 30 good games and 1 bad game and he would get crucified. Well that hypothetical situation would NEVER occur, he can't go a single game without making a bad mistake.

Own goals, penalties, charging past the halfway line diving in to tackles and missing - exposing the team to a counter attack. This is Mustafi's MO, he is a nightmare and if I ever see him play again for Arsenal, a piece of my heart will die.

I'm sure I saw Arteta say and gesture to Mustafi to get close in on your opponent and not allow so much space. He should never be allowed to play for us again. After watching the highlights again, he definitely could have stopped that attack earlier instead of just backing off.

As Sims said, he could've stopped the counter at the halfway line with a foul. He could've got tighter to the man and forced him to lay the ball off. He could've stopped backing off and forced the player to go wider - away from the danger - the player would be faced with going wide or laying the ball off - either option takes them away from our goal.

He took the worst option - do nothing, allowing them into our box. Then didn't get tight on that lanky prick and got turned by no feint or drop of the shoulder whatsoever.

As much as we may dislike Mustafi, the reality is that he's an Arsenal player and that he will likely be an Arsenal player until at least 2021. We have to hope he can do better because he's going to be an important part of our defence this season and the next.
