Mustafis and Xhakas ups and downs are frustrating for players their price tag. Last Summer's business wasn't good at all, as Lucas also didn't nail a starting role (i know mostly because of Wenger)

he's pretty damned good with his back to goal, sniffing out entry passes et cet..

b ut is vulnerable to through and over the top where he has to catch up... doesnt have Koz speed

Looked more solid as the most central CB today. Not a huge test, but can't remember him doing much wrong.

1 sloppy bit of defending when he should've made sure the ball went out for a goal kick. ended up in a decent chance for brighton.

Checking the DFB roster... and Mustafi will have a difficult time to start (or even game time) for Germany in the near future.
If everybody is healthy, Hummels and Boetang will be sure starters... then there are Rudiger, Sule, Ginter, and Tah.
Will be a tough battle for Shkodran next summer in Russia.
