Just noticed that we've conceded 22 goals this season, the same as Middlesborough. Chambers has made 14 appearances so far. How's he been doing? Has he been central to that good record for Boro?

WHO HAS LEFT ON LOAN, AND WHERE?

A total of 11 of our players had departed the club on loan by the end of transfer deadline day.

For information on where they have moved, and how their new clubs are placed, read the below:

Image

Dan Crowley
January 10: Dan Crowley joined Go Ahead Eagles on loan, who play in the Eredivisie. The Eagles are currently 18th, three points adrift of second-bottom Roda JC. Crowley had previously been on loan with Oxford United earlier this season.

Jon Toral
January 12: Jon Toral moved on loan to Glasgow Rangers, after limited playing time during a spell with Granada. Rangers are currently second in the Scottish Premiership, 22 points behind rivals Celtic.

Chuba Akpom
January 30: Chuba Akpom moved south to sign for Championship leaders Brighton and Hove Albion. The Seagulls currently hold a two-point lead over second-placed Newcastle United. This will be Chuba’s fifth loan spell away from the club, having previously spent time with Hull City, Nottingham Forest, Coventry City and Brentford.

Gedion Zelalem
January 31: Gedion Zelalem moved on loan to VVV-Venlo, who are currently top of the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football. Before departing, Zelalem signed a new contract with us. This is Gedion’s second spell away from the club, having spent last season on loan at Glasgow Rangers.

Kaylen Hinds
January 31: Kaylen Hinds also signed a new deal with the club, before moving on loan to League Two club Stevenage, who are currently 14th and just seven points adrift of the play-offs. This is Kaylen’s first loan spell.

Stephy Mavididi
January 31: Stephy Mavididi followed a path previously taken by the likes of Alex Song, Francis Coquelin and Yaya Sanogo by moving to Charlton Athletic. The Addicks are currently 11th in League One and six points off the play-off spots. Like Kaylen, this is Stephy’s first time away from the club on loan.

Ismael Bennacer
January 31: Ismael Bennacer moved on loan to Tours, who play in the second tier of French football. Tours are currently 18th and two points from safety. Having just returned from the Africa Cup of Nations where he was part of the Algeria squad, this will be Ismael’s first loan spell.

Marc Bola
January 31: Marc Bola moved late on deadline day to join Notts County. The Magpies are currently 22nd in League Two and sit just one point above the relegation zone. This is the first time Marc has gone on loan.

Krystian Bielik
January 31: Krystian Bielik moved in the final minutes of deadline day, sealing a switch to Birmingham City. The Blues are currently 12th in the Championship and are nine points adrift of the play-off places. Krystian will be on loan for the first time in his career.

Matt Macey
January 31: Matt Macey has joined Luton Town on loan for the remainder of the season. The Hatters are 5th in the League Two table and just four points away from an automatic promotion spot. This will be Matt's second loan spell, having previously spent time on loan at Accrington Stanley in 2015.

Good to see we've sent so many on loan. It will only make them all better players, assuming they get enough playing time
