The rumour was 5m loan for Holding who is at best 5th or 6th choice CB for us, he cost 2m and would still have good value next summer unless he was shit. Makes huge sense to loan him out and take the money since we likely won't be able to shift Musti or Chambers, if we could it'd be very late in the window by which time West Ham might have a new CB instead.

Gabriel
Luiz
Saliba
Mari
Mustafi
Chambers
Tierney
Kola (at least til we sell him)

That's more than enough CB cover to loan Holding out and add some money to the kitty without really losing much quality from the overall lineup. Only thing is right now 3 are injured but f**k it, take the risk and leave us short a couple of weeks til those guys start coming back.

You guys not want Aouar or what?

Mustafi, Kolasinac & Sokratis need to be out the damn door. Might have to keep Holding & Chambers for now(HG).

We don't need to keep HG players, we have more than enough although they're not high quality, we just need less non HG ones.

I didn't actually even list Sokratis as I forgot about him but that's another number that means we can loan Bobby out. By the time we sell Sokratis and Kola, then Musti and Chambers will be back, so we'd still have 6 CB options without Holding. You can probably even sell Mustafi on top if we plan to play 4atb more often.

Looked nervous and wasteful in possession today.

Also got caught marking Antonio on the wrong side for West Ham's goal.

Need to get Saliba up to speed quick, guy got terrorized, just a very mediocre defender, simple as that.

Luiz is back so we'll likely see Luiz - Gabriel - Tierney (fitness permitting) moving forward.

Taking 5m for a loan year for him is a steal as many of us stated. I hope the offer still stands.

For the Money we paid he was a good signing does the job in big games (when the rest of the team turns up), he’s no Van Dijk but I can see why Arteta wants to keep him.

Look at players like Wes brown/O’shea 10+ years at united they were never word class but they got the job done as dependable squad players 20+ games a season for united and won plenty of trophy’s playing in finals like the CL if needed.

Holding is that type of player remember the days of having experienced backups like Cygan, Silvestre and Squilaci etc all terrible, no point in selling Holding for the 10M we’d get out of him and replace him with an experienced defender who’d probably turn out to be a flop.

He has the turning circle of an oil tanker and the speed of a tortoise.
Other than that he's great.

I’ve had enough of this guy to be honest, been around for years and really doesn’t look good enough, it’s time to let Magalhaes and Saliba get their chance.

I defended him, as he was playing well before that big injury, but he's been looking like a rabbit in the headlights in the past few games, so enough is enough.

Saliba - Gabriel - Mari - Luiz - Chambers - Holding - Mustafi - Sokratis - Mavropanos.

I can't see him being among the 4 or 5 options we will keep out of those. I think it will be his last season in an Arsenal shirt or maybe he'll even leave this summer as Mari is almost fit and we could move to a 4-3-3 as soon as get our midfielder(s).

I think we can surely discount movemypenis or however it's spelt. Still makes me laugh he's mentioned in whenever we talk about CBS we have.

Mari is nothing special. Gabriel and saliba are gone next summer imo. Luiz probably as well. Holding and Chambers are not that good. Mustafi and sokratis have their moments. Good and bad.

We are in desperate need of CBs
