Since when has that ever mattered to gooney being negative?

Yes Holding was doing very well, I started off neutral if not a bit meh about him as I thought he'd be another one of our cheap flops but he looked very decent before he got injured, probably even 1st choice level.

Sokratis and Holding are prob our starting CB's if we don't bring in anyone better.

Good point!

Ah ok, I thought he was doing well. Injury came at a bad time for him, not that they are ever at a good time though. Not sure how old he is, but it seems like it's about the time he should be peaking and getting to his best potential.

He's a very solid defender for us considering our current choices. However, I don't think he'd warrant a first team selection if we had proper competition at the spot.

He was, he just doesn't have the profile yet. If he had played this whole season as he did the first 22 before his injury (coinciding with our downturn in results), he wouldnt be questioned as a starter compared to the others.

He had a short period were he was doing well before the injury. But it was not enough sample of him being good enough. 12 months ago people were saying chambers was the future and now the worst pl team said he is not good enough defender for them. People get carried away after few games. The summer emery come in not a single poster was saying holding is great he should be starter. Most had him behind kos, mustafi, soko and chambers

Where are these people that said Chambers was the future. Lets publicly shame them! ;)

But like you say people get carried away after a few games. You get a bit carried away after reading a few post on here, and then blame every member on here for thinking that way. If someone said Chambers was the future, I guarantee you that it wasn't more than 4 or 5 people, yet you're here acting like the whole forum said it.
