He's in very good form right now. Hope he doesn't revert back to some of the poor performances we've seen from him

His receding hairline would suggest that this is entirely possible.

Did anyone see when he crunched that bredda in the tackle, then cussed him when he complained about it being a foul ? :rofll:

I loved that, old school defending followed by a "shut the f**k up".

I've always liked him. Then he did what he did v villa and didn't think he should ever play again but he's coming back up

Certainty for euros this summer

Great game from him today. PG wrote him off. I knew he'd come good. Leader.

Underrated. Another top game. Beast on defining corners.

He's bad a couple games a season but other than that a stable CB. Solid player.

He's been quite solid. Even looks as if playing with ball at feet is coming along. Hes quieter, more assured, fewer loose touches and seems to choose correctly when to distribute, when to skip forward a few yards, when to pass back.

But against lesser teams where we are dominating possession he gets caught out for speed.

It's a delicate balance. He's been encouraging.

He is streets ahead of what mustafi was, and we now have some decent competition developing at CB

Definitely an assured performance from him. He is weird on the ball, looks so awkward, as awkward as Leno looks with the ball at his feet, then Holding will strum the ball forward and long like peak Alessandro Costacurta and make my jaw drop.

Na mustafi during the unbeaten run under emery was world class, Holding is just consistent and unlike Mustafi doesn’t make dumb mistakes

Our most-involved and most-consistent CB during this unbeaten run.

Like most players, they need a run in the side to build fitness and confidence. Holding is now back to good form and hopefully he’ll stay injury free, cos we need him.

No David Luiz commanding the defence today so he’s turned into a donkey

Should have been tight on Watkins before that cross came in
