Funny how no one thought of him as cover in January. He was supposed to be the guy to succeed Ramsey. He’s had plenty of opportunities to start and hasn’t. Against Everton he could have easily started in midfield but the coach went with Guendozi and Elneny despite playing three CBs. Let’s just admit he’s flopped.

Lost Ramsey, Cazorla and Wilshere for nothing and spent money on Suarez. Epic fail by the new regime.

This is the whole point of the loan. We took him on, he can't cut it, at the end of the season we dont have 22m less and sma deadweight on a 5 year contract.

Dont see the problem tbf

This forum: Shambles of a club, we have no money to sign anyone, so we get this Barca reject who sucks
Also this forum: Why doesn't Suarez play?

I'd be worried if one of our starting XI was injured, and he still wasn't getting minutes. Ramsey and Mhikytaryan are fit, so that's that.

Rumours are that he's headed back in the summer. Not a big loss at all.

I've almost completely forgotten about him, to be perfectly honest.

Even when he leaves, a certain Mislintat nuthugger will be sure to remind us that the antichrist Emery signed a loan player and didn't play him.

He’s been a flop but it was probably with the risk. I’d rather us try and bring someone in and him be shit than pull the old Wenger excuse and sign sweet fa

I don’t think there were a host of alternative options in Jan. We needed cover, and ideally someone who could push for a starting place, but obviously Suarez isn’t that bloke.

I think it’s not just about Suarez. My sense is Emery is convinced he needs to play two holding midfielders at all times. In that case Suarez can’t get a game. My concern is longer term because I think we do need a box to box player like Ramsey to be paired with a holding midfilder. Otherwise we don’t get the ball into the attacking third fast enough and waste the talents of Auba, Laca and Ozil.

They are the facts though, are they not?? I find it funny when people try to bend and twist the truth to fit their agenda.

Personally I couldn't give a shit that we signed someone on loan and didn't use them, rather that than Emery do a Wenger and piss into the wind trying to prove a point playing a player that is not as good as those we already have.

But you can't deny the fact that Emery did indeed sign a player on loan and didn't use him, if that hurts you to admit then, c'est la vie.

Some of Emery's player decisions have been odd - and continue to be so. Especially substitutions. But, we have 66 points with 5 games to go and actually have a shot at top 4. No reasonable fan would ever have have expected us to be challenging for top 4. It's dreamland, so we can;t criticise Emery too much. The game is about results.
