Our current commercial deals are very good though, even without the Addidas deal, the current PUMA deal is good in comparison to most. Apart from the extra 150k Ozil gets a week, I can't see where the vast majority of that £70m sum is coming from. Wages haven't gone up an extra £70m a season.

They are ok but not amazing. We currently get about the same as Chelsea for our shirt sponsorship after the new deal last summer, however they will likely soon get an improved deal and Man U are always about 20% ahead of everyone.

Then there's all the other sponsorhips and endorsements that the highly commercial clubs like Man U and even Liverpool have in place. Just look how many "partners" they have

EPL Club incomes in Euros (Deloitte 2018):

Utd - 676m
City - 560m
Arsenal - 487m
Chelsea - 428m
Liverpool - 424m
Spurs - 356m

EPL Club wages

Utd - 264m
City - 264m
Chelsea - 220m
Liverpool - 208m
Arsenal - 199m
Spurs - 127m

Our wage bill has increased by around 40m since 2015.

Kroenke purchased Arsenal on the basis that he wouldn't have to put in a dime, zero, nothing.

That AFC in the top 4 can provide enough funds from its income to buy players etc .......... but that's in the CL.

So basically what they're saying is without CL money we will be on fkin bread crumbs, we'll have £50m per Summer window if that and the failure to sell any stars because we keep letting them go for free has made spending even worse.

No wonder Gazidis did a runner.

We have the worst owner in football, if we don't get to the top 4 soon we're proper fked and may never recover.

We can't even compete with Liverpool's spending let alone any of the other top 4.

tbf we can, it's just that our shit owner would rather invest 99.99% of his money, time, and energy into the Rams.

Only if we had access to that sweet Walmart $$$ :crybaby:

It’s all bollocks. Remember when we had £200m in cash reserves set aside which we were told was to be used in the eventuality we fell out of the CL ... what happened to that ?

I'm not sure if you were trying to reinforce my point? Anyway, the above quote shows how our income and wages are good enough for us not to be running a deficit. If we are still running a deficit, serious questions have to be asked why.

Convenient that there are no checks and balances on the clubs finances now? I'll let you be the judge. I do find it highly suspect that we are suddenly running a huge deficit and our owner just financed a multi-billion pound stadium in the states...
