No I don't think it's anything to worry about, look at the tackle that caused the injury, he rolled his ankle, it doesn't look like an old injury resurfacing, that would've injured any ankle to be honest

Out for 'several weeks'.
Basically, his season is over.

Admittedly my assessment is based on a relatively small sample size given that I watch Scottish football on occasion much less than I do that from the German and French leagues, but Josh Doig from Hibs would be worth a punt if we weren't looking to rush him into first team action straight away as cover for Tierney beyond a run of 2 consecutive games maximum.

I'm not for one moment suggesting he's a finished article or just a couple of steps behind his compatriot, far from it, but if the objective was to find someone capable of developing into genuinely viable competition for Tierney in the next 24 months, then I would have no qualms in recommending him.

If we are not entertaining the long term practicalities of maintaining the same standard as set by Tesco's finest but rather someone for the here and now harbouring ambitions of replacing Tierney before the end of next season, then no, I don't think this youngster fits the bill. But what I would say in his favour which is probably the single most reason he caught my eye, is that he put me in mind of a Scot McTominay from around 4 to 5 years ago.

Better than having to use our back up RB tbf

According to Simon Collings from the Evening Standard, Tierney will miss both legs of the UEL QF tie against Slavia.

Tierney to resume full training in 4 to 6 weeks. Some ligament damage.

Who was that young Spanish kid we have? Give him some game time in the league now we've given up on top six.

He'll play Saka or Cedric there. I can't see Arteta calling on any youth players so late on in the competition.
