In fact he was superb.

We will have to clone Tavares so he and the clone can do half a game each

Now you're just taking the piss.

Am I?

Here is an example of the discussion at the time on Tavares.

I said this last week, KT for some reason has been dropping off for me.

I have no problem with Nuno pushing ahead of KT in the pecking order, starting should be based on form not who's got the more popular name / brand.

Chat in and around the stadium during and after some of his performances were exactly the same.

Our fans, like most, have goldfish memories. Tavares has been bad in the 2 games he has been asked to step in for over the last 3 months, so he is getting flak.

Plenty to offer as a player as he has already shown.
If he plays like he did earlier in the season we will not miss Tierney at all.
I do think however we need Tomi back as part of that - for the reasons previously mentioned.

Kept KT out the team when he returned, until that Liverpool shocker, never recovered and had 2 bad starts since. No choice now but to use him or put Saka there and completely ruin Tavares confidence.

Unfortunately, our captain in waiting appears inflicted with RvP syndrome in not only having his playing time severely curtailed by injury but also then having aspersions cast against his talent in the name of faux football insight and perception.

I suppose there ought not to be any real surprise at this, given he was deemed by an equally vociferous bunch as inadequate upon notice of our intention to recruit him from the so called 'farmers league' north of the border regardless of their never having actually watched him play.

Time to sell.
Players are no good to us on the treatment table
Good player and was potentially a future captain, but he’s not at all able for the physicality of the PL. even with no European games to play he’s broken down twice already this season.
If Madrid’s offer is more than a rumour, take it.

What we should keep injury prone players to be kind to them?

Tetavision can only be fully realized if the manager is allowed to bring in his own players. Like Tavares.

Celtic run him into the ground and playing in Scottish League where half the time players are tryna to butcher each other, it's no surprise.

Bite their hands off if true (doubt it). Great player but injured far too often.
