The Break Water wrote:Mertesacker is the problem they told me, Mertesacker is too slow they told me, Mertesacker is awful they told me. Wenger pays 35 Million for Mustafi, 2 million for Holding and 16 Million for Chambers.. and we somehow get worse, we have got worse in the defense!! no doubt about it. the amount of goals we have condeded is more than when Mertesacker was playing in the past.
Flamini is the problem they told me, Flamini is too old they told me, Flamini is a league 1 level player they told me. Wenger pays 34 Million for Xhaxa, 6 million for Elneny, but yet we have got worse in the midfield, that defensive position is as bad as ever and the defense exposed badly every match.
Arteta is the problem they told me. Arteta is a shambles they told me. Arteta is like playing with only 10 players they told me. Wenger pays....
ahhh I give up, you get the message!!, I can't be bothered to go on and on about it. Anyway so the point is clear.. Wenger is the problem, it doesn't matter who plays, the same thing happens, the same old problems happens every season for 13 years. Wenger is the problem, I'm 100% convinced.

Anyone who says 'we shouldn't be winning the league' back in 2014 didn't watch any of our losses that season and therefore is not a real fan
Anyone who said 'we shouldn't be winning the league' in 2008 didn't watch any of our games that season and didn't see just how good that team was, and is therefore also not a real fan.
We have been good enough to win the league 4 times in the last 11 seasons. I don't expect to win all 4 of those, but us not winning any of those titles has nothing to do with oil money

A glimpse into the mind of the AKB / Wenger groupie:
AKB: "It's not Wenger's fault, its the fans. they are not behind the team"
"But our away support is some of the best in the land and our away form was woeful even before the protesting began"
AKB: "it's not Wenger, its the players"
"Who signed the players?"
AKB: "Wenger signed the players, but they are playing badly its not his fault"
"Who is responsible for coaching the players and team tactics?"
AKB: "Yes but wenger can't do everything himself. they just aren't good enough, we need better technical players. Wenger needs to buy X & Y, and should do Z in the summer"
"We spent £90m in the summer and have gone backwards, do you trust him to spend the money wisely?"
AKB: "Yes"
"Why? on what basis?"
AKB: "Because he's the best man for the job"
"How so? elaborate..."
AKB: "13 years ago he won us the league...."
"Nostalgia and sentiment aside, give me a footballing reason he should stay...?"
AKB: "He's our greatest ever manager and deserves respect"
"Would you think it was time for him to go if he didn't do any of your suggestions to fix what is broken at Arsenal?"
AKB: "No because I will always support the manager, he has earned the right to leave when he wants"
"So you're happy being 21 pts behind Chelsea in April? Spurs finishing above us. Alexis Sanchez and Ozil possibly leaving?"
AKB: "But who could do better?"

Think through what you've just written ....
If Wonger needs to be sacked ... then obviously Wonger is "the problem" ....
Thus Kroenke is guilty of not dealing with 'the problem' but in your own sentence you have conceded that Wonger is in fact "the problem" ...
If we were managed by *enter your favourite here* and challenging for top trophies then "the problem" would be gone, however Kroenke could still be here .... ergo Kroenke is not in fact "the problem" .....
NB - Kroenke's still an idiot for not sacking Wonger .....

Özil has never been the engine room of any football team. He’s no Patrick Vieira who can single-handedly take a game by the scruff of the neck. He is the luxury , stick him in the right environment, in the right position, with the right players around him, and there very few if any better No 10s in the world
Since joining Arsenal he has created more chances (401), more big chances (51) and provided more assists (42) than any other Premier League player and its basically the same story this season. Before the Chelsea game he'd created 15 clear cut scoring opportunites this season, again the highest by anone this season.
Finding a way to reinforce the midfield is key to extracting better performances from Ozil and we will reap the rewards, not to hit his confidence by criticising him all the time. People need to get off his back and actually value what he CAN bring to the team.
