If only for the simple reason that he is back to full fitness, we have dropped the bollock of all bollocks in letting go of Santi Cazorla.

It's not even that he's Donning it again, because that's just what he does, but unless we were told quite categorically by the Spanish consultant surgeons and physiology team that he was never going to get any where near top level football again, we've f***ked up big time.

I'm made up for him personally that for all he has had to suffer has proved worthwhile, and will even admit that watching him play like he hasn't been away brought a tear to my eye, but just thinking of him along side Torreira....nah, we f***ked up.

Henry sacked by Monaco. Jardim replaces him. 2 wins in 12. Back to Sky I guess.

I saw that.
He was a very talented footballer - closest to Vieira I have seen.
His career was effectively destroyed by a thug from Sunderland, Dan Smith - a complete t***er who even today plays the victim over the incident.

That was in an era where the league and referees encouraged opponents to break our players legs.

Wasn't it his ankles that were always crocked? Similar to Jack?

Diaby is the biggest what could have been player. :(

God, that team we had from 2007 until 2011. It was a crime that we didn't win anything. :crybaby:

Does anyone know how Monaco are getting on now without Henry?

The Diaby and Eduardo injuries still make me mad to this day. Disgraceful. Felt like both players were robbed of great careers. We’ll never know what could have been.

What would have been (Rosicky, Diaby, Wilshere).
I highly rated these player but injuries messed everything up.

Watched Villarreal vs Barcelona earlier, a cracking game with some stunning goals that had Barca going 2 nil up to then being 4-2 down in the 87th minute and having to be rescued by top draw goals from Messi & Suarez in the last 5 minutes of a 4-4 thriller.

Best midfielder on the pitch? Santi Cazorla. Yes my opinion is open to bias, that's why I'm glad that in this instance I'm only concurring with the views of the commentator, presenter and pundits.

How Suarez approached Santi during the customary post match handshakes as if to say 'Unlucky mate, you deserve to have been on a winning team' all but supported the consensus.

That we have been able to see Ramsey return to something like his best form for us, is why many who were previously non-plused about him going are now up in arms about his departure beyond the loss of his monetary resale value.

Had we had the same opportunity to see even a half fit Santi prior to him being allowed to leave, I have no doubt that MI5 tactics in eradicating his passport would have been utilised along with a blockade around the emirates stadium that would have put French lorry drivers to shame.
