Re: Lucas Perez - On loan with Deportivo

We can get more money for Welbeck than for Perez. Perez likely on a lower wage too.

Let him come back and fill the Giroud-shaped substitute striker void in our lineup.

Always like him and works hard, no one will understand why Wenger doesn’t play him more.

Can't wait to see what Emery does with him. Perez's most important attribute moving forward is making Welbeck irrelevant.

he was good when he played for us a great finisher i really hope emery plays more of a 4-4-2 diamond style were we will need perez as a sub striker and ozil can play in the hole

I don't think we can sell Welbeck and Iwobi that easy. Doesn't matter for me if both Perez and Welbeck stay. And we can let Iwobi stay at least a year to see what Emery can do about him.

His return loan spell at Deportivo didn't work out well. Having said that, they were crap, and ended up getting relegated.

He's only really had one good season in his career - the one before he signed for us, when he averaged a goal every other game for Deportivo. Other than that he's averaged around a goal every four games. But again, having said that, it's been with teams that were not so great.

I saw something in him when he played for us. A real hunger for goals. He gets into the right positions, and he has a good touch.

He's 29 now. Crossroads.

Perez was a Gazidis signing based on some data analytics BS.

I don't believe any players were bought solely on the back of that tool.

It was just used as a pointer.

Harsh to call Gazidis a tool after what he's just done tbh

I just think Lucas was a complete board purchase that Wenger never accepted.

My new theory is that after the 2015 shambles the boars started going over Wenger's head to make signings. Explains why Lucas never got a chance and why Mustafi wanted to leave and why we've finally let Walcott, Giroud and Coquelin go.
