Agreed.

Hence my comment on him being in a front 3 or 2 would benefit him rather than being isolated.

Agreed. It may sound archaic, but I don't think we're not quite enough to score the same types of goals in each game. The more avenues we're able to pursue, the more goals we'll score in the vital stages of games. A taller, prolific header of the ball would be a nice alternative to have when in need of a goal and intricate football proves ineffective. Don't think it'll happen, though.

We need an alternative plan 100% and we should utilise a target man. 100% this is the correct option

Really quick feet. He's Brazilian. Martinelli should have killed that chance he created when dancing through their box.

I think a younger one to be a squad player and plan B off the bench would do.

Was going to make a thong joke but decided that was going a bit far.

It's why, as impressive as all our signings have been (this is coming from one of the more positive, pro-Arteta fans here), we'll repeat last year's f**k-up if we don't sort the midfield out.

There's so much to love about this new squad, but Xhaka is still Xhaka, and Partey has only shown glimpses of the player we all expected him to be.

Partey is inconsistent and Xhaka will always be a liability. We're one injury (or more than likely, one suspension) from seeing fringe players in the midfield, conceding possession, slow play, no transition... and an isolated front line.

We've got a lethal attacking line, with some very decent cover, but they'll be rendered ineffective if there aren't midfield signings (plural!)

A Sanchez like performance. All over the pitch. Great show. Seems to have lifted us singlehandedly to another level.

Just goes to show what a massive difference it can make when youre in a team where you know youre the main man upfront every week. What a player.
