We have three others here better than him Cedric, Chambers, Niles and two of them aren’t even natural right backs

Arsenal have set a £20m asking price for Spain right-back Hector Bellerin, with Atletico Madrid interested in the 26-year-old as a replacement for England international Kieran Trippier, 30, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United. Real Betis have also shown interest in Bellerin, but his price tag will prove too much. (CBS Sport)

Juventus have been linked with Bellerin and could offer 30-year-old Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey back to the Gunners in a swap deal. (Sport, in Spanish)

No way do I want Ramsey.

He'd be another Willian, just here for the pay cheque.

We had the best of Ramsey, he's now 30 yrs old and has spent over a year playing in a slower Italian league.

Ramsey for Bellerin - that's a lose / lose for Arsenal and Juve .... don't want either player sucking up wages.

How is it that we think so poorly of Bellerin, yet the biggest clubs in Europe seem to want him? What are we not seeing?

He's got name recognition.

It goes a long way when clubs are too lazy to look deeper, Chelsea took Giroud off us and he barely ever plays and scored 2 goals or something in his first season.

It happens all the time.

In fact most of our sales are flops, Oxlaide Chamberlain, Wilshire, Iwobi, Walcott.

Everton is releasing Walcott and barely play Iwobi, Jack flopped hard at West Ham and Ox well the less said about his time at Liverpool the better ....... ruined his career.

Hmmm...that could be. But clubs like Juventus and Atletico generally get it right. It could also be that he is seen as a potent attacking outlet down the flank. Something we don’t appreciate enough.

Maybe they see the PL as being a bit physical and his skills will be better utilised in a slower league.

We’ve set a 20 million asking price apparently.

I think this shows how our stock has fallen, 20 million is nothing for a player who was a regular for us for long periods.

Liverpool sold Brewster for more than that last summer.

Liverpool do some smart business, they lose Wijnaldum and look to replace him with a much younger player who can grow with the team.

Talk of City raising 70 million just from the sale of some unknown kids as well, meanwhile we sell probably our most saleable assets at less or similar amounts as unknown kids from those clubs.

20 mil is peanuts for him. He’s under contract till 2023, has six seasons of premier league experience, has been capped for Spain, is considered homegrown in England. This is a 30-40 mil player by any estimation.

tbf i think he'd do well in a slower league like italy or a non-competitive league like france

i think the english premier league is too much for him following his injury.

i can see him flourishing at juve for example under allegri who will drill the defence day in day out.
