Problem with Bellerin and many of our young players is that they stagnate after showing immense potential when breaking through the ranks. That's what has happened with Bellerin. He was among the most talented youngsters to come out of the youth system. Since then, he hasn't grown. Soon, he'll regress.

Iwobi is another one already regressing. Desperately needs a loan spell.

Is it true he was the only player to come over and clap to the fans before getting booed to high heaven before turning around and sulking off?

Pathetic if true. He needs ankle surgery ffs

No the Ox was first over to the fans and a few other players came over also. Bellerin was actually one of the last players to come clap the fans. But he got showered in abuse and turn around. Ox went over to console him it looked like.

His problem is poor coaching, he is clueless when it comes to standing up an attacker, in the last few games he's been targeted by quick wingers, they know if they can stand him up they will be past him, it's happened time and time again .... this is one of the basics of playing FB ... you show your winger inside or outside (if you've been coached properly in pre-match training you will know which is his weaker side) then you keep your weight back ready to follow his turn .... you DO NOT stand up in his face as you will then be off balance when he chooses which way to go and won't recover fast enough ... that's FB BASICS

Watching Zaha and Townsend turn him inside and out at will was almost laughable ....

It's the same with Mustafi ... he seems to have forgotten the basics of being a centre back .... Benteke was all over him but it was more about Mustafi being on the wrong side, off balance, to close, to far away, than it was about Benteke being a monster, all the very BASICS of defending seem to have been forgotten ....

It's as if our defensive coaches (oxymoron) are actually coaching them how not to be defenders ...,. what the feck is going on?

Confidence is a funny thing, without it you just forget everything ..... Arsene can repeat 'right mindset' 'back on target' 'mental strength' all he wants ... anyone watching the game knows that's utter bollocks ... these players are done, this season can't end fast enough ....

Oh, okay.

I can understand berating him for not performing when healthy, but don't do it when he's been carrying an injury that requires surgery for a while now. Uncalled for from the fans imo. Guess he'll be off to Barca this summer then; he'll still be jeered if he doesn't perform, even Messi can't escape that, but at least to Bellerin, he'll be 'home'.

If this ankle bit is true, Wilshere mk2 incoming.

I still feel bad for Wilshere. Wenger is the reason why he's become such a crock. The manager is best suited to know about body types. Wilshere never had the type to rival Messi or Ronaldo, yet Wenger overplayed him when he was 19.

To make it worse, he continued to play him in pre-season instead of giving him a break to recuperate.

Not the old "mysterious injury we can't diagnose or fix" excuse yet again .... funny how Jack at a different club is now dropped not because of injury but because he's not good enough .... that is, and has always been the case .... we have more mysterious, extended, random injuries than my missus gets headaches ... they're nearly all bollocks, made up just to protect Wonger's love-children .....

Bellerin simply relies on his pace.

Watch him carefully the entire match and you will notice that his positioning is terrible. He is betting on his speed to recover should he get beat.

Also, keep an eye on what he does when he has the ball and moving forward with it. Most of the time he will make the wrong decision. He will have a simple pass to his left but will run with it and give the ball away. He gives the ball away a lot.

This is not a one or two game occurrence. He has been doing this consistently.

You have to ask and wonder what kind of training guys like Bellerin are getting where they cannot even perform basic tasks on the field.

We have absolute shit for trainers and personnel development.

If I am a young player and I want to improve and get better, I would absolutely AVOID coming to Arsenal.

The club and wenegr are disgusting .When a player is injured they seem to just give him a wage increase and still play him on painkillers. Its like a bonus reqrad for playing injured.Quite disgusting did with nasri, cesc, jack, coq, bellerin, rambo thats just what they do as cover up.

Done it to every player.Once they get contract extension they are playing on meds.

None the less does'nt excuse this guys non defensive skills or awareness. All this guy has to do is get into a good defensive position. His speed will cover cb's and deal with wingers. But he's so far forward ,never in position he just gets exposed.Add on top we are shite at defending all together.

Needs to learn to defend and use his body.
