According to this article and direct quotes from theo walcott himself, Hector Bellerin is now officially Arsenal's fastest ever player.

Bellerin broke Theo's record that he took from theirry Henry.

Back up RB sorted seeing as he actually knows what to do with the ball. If he can time his tackling, he wont even need to rely on strength (although building it would help) with that sort of pace.

Think of the protection he would provide on counter attacks!

Bellerin looks a great prospect. This may be his breakthrough season if he is given chance in cup competitions.

I wouldnt mind seeing him in some lower key league games tbf.

Dat pace would destroy attacking teams and his technical/dribbling ability is not to be sniffed at versus bus park specialists.

His recovery is impressive. Final ball is pretty good. Can run with the ball too. Really exciting prospect.

Yeah, he has been pretty impressive whenever I've seen him, especially against Benfica. I hope we will get to see more of him this season (it'd be nice if he played a couple of CC and FA Cup matches).

our future RB...
Debuchy is just the right age that will allow us to phase Bellerin over the next couple years.
& he'll count as "homegrown" which is obviously another plus.
i have really high hopes for this kid.

Can't remember the thread or who it was who loved him after only one pre season game against some team.

Bet he never comes back

Lot to learn.

A really tough baptism against a very good Dortmund team.

Hopefully he will learn & develop.

They weren't that good, he could've been up against Reus rofl.

He's shit at defending, supposedly good at attacking and yet tonight everytime in the final third he went backwards or his cross was terrible (1 time I think). Poor player, hasn't shown anything otherwise.

I thought Dortmund were really good tonight.

Either way am not going to write the guy off after one game, particularily a game where we underperfomed so badly.

As I say, he has a lot to learn, am hoping he does.

We made them look much better, they were decent but did nothing special to earn their chances and fluffed them at most opportunities. Our defence was terrible and opened up for them with ease, imagine if they'd used Reus, Sahin, Kagawa etc too? Jakub would've murdered us with more pace as well.

I'd hoped Bellerin would show some bottle tonight, somebody said this game will give him more motivation as it is such a big game..well he looked like a lost little kid which is near enough what he is. However, getting a test like that for me would prove a future star from a mentally weak player. A star would take the opportunity and shine, he didn't.

Debuchy better come back asap.
