Submitting a transfer request just halved what we can ask for him, if not more. Another Edu masterclass.

What in the world is going on at Arsenal? So this means we have to sign another right back this summer. Better convince AMN to do the job.

After that knee injury (2 or 3 seasons ago I think?) he has been scared to go all out. His most favourable trait (speed) is out the window. Don't know if its a physical thing or just fear, but he hasn't been able to match the sprinting speed he showed in his earlier years. Kinda similar to what happened with Valon Behrami, heavy injury and the rest of his career was defined by fear/hesitation when playing.

My one point of concern with losing Hector has to do with his status as our longest serving player. Without any historical continuity, legacy sharing, I fear for the direction Arteta will move forward in.

New contract for him too, accto the Guardian.

The club have not lost hope that Héctor Bellerín and Granit Xhaka, both of whom are keen to move, will join White in this season’s squad and are preparing to offer them new contracts. Bellerín’s representatives met Edu, the technical director, this week and were informed Arsenal would like him to extend his deal, which ends in 2023.
