Since his return from injury, Kolasinac has looked closer to the player he was before being inexplicably dropped by Wenger, as opposed to The Walking Dead zombie he resembled after being reinstated.

Whilst I can understand some of the the disparaging remarks he came in for as a result of that second act to his Arsenal career, I don't get why the credit he had earned from his initial performances along with the potential on view, has since been dismissed out of hand and conclusions drawn that he should be catapulted out of the club.

He has done no worse than any of our numerous players who had equally been under performing and letting themselves down.

If we can be so quick on the uptake to see that Wenger was not learning from his mistakes or even acknowledging them, why does that then stop when it comes to our own assessment of our players?

Based on numerous fan assessments, Bellerin and Holding just aren't good enough and should have been chucked down the bin shute, hopefully clearing the blockage caused by Xhaka's rotting corpse.

Sokratis should never have even of gotten through the doors never mind into the team given he was an old, slow and technically lacking reject more suited to Del boy's lock-up.

Laccazette is a moody second rater who can't hack it in the premier league and had really wanted to go to Atletico Madrid instead so is sulking.

Torreira is a nobody midget who's going to get destroyed by the premier league as he's simply incapable of coping with its physicality.

If our coach has been able to coax and cajole the talent within the likes of Holding, Iwobi and Bellerin closer to the forefront, why can't he do likewise with our formidable Bosnian, because the talent is within this fella like the Hulk is within Bruce Banner.

I haven't dismissed it.

In my summary in yesterdays game I said the good points were Sokratis and Iwobi's combinations with Kolasinic.

He needs to continue and get a bit better but he's doing well so far, glad he's back, we really need a LB right now.

One of the best games he's played for us. Both he and Bellerin look better as wingbacks since they don't have to worry about their defensive duties as much and can focus on pushing up the field.

How I see it: Play Kola if we're going 3 at the back, play Monreal if it's 4.

He barbarically destroyed the corner flag.

Looks at this...looks straight from medieval times...

A good wing back, strong and decent pace with the ball, is an important player for us if we continue to play 3 at the back.

There are a lot of things about Kolasinac to really like, such as his technical ability, personality and physicality along with his warrior mentality when marauding forward.

However, an un-blinkered view equally spots any flaws especially when they are glaring, so description of the defensive element of his performances define that as amateurish at best.

I really hope that he does have the inclination to drag his defensive game up the 2 or 3 levels it needs to improve for him to remain a viable option for this team.

Emery strikes me as fair but not the type to invest too much time into player development that moves at a sedimentary pace. As a professional football coach at the highest level, he recognises that he simply can't afford such luxuries.

The Emery train is pulling out of the station and we are linked with a plethora of new players, full backs included, so if the big Bosnian wants to be part of this adventure he'd best make sure he has his ticket to ride.

He's not the perfect ideal LB, but I'm glad he's on our team. His passion and intensity are helping give this team an identity.
