We all knew this could happen.

Club made an unforgivable mistake in January which cost us CL and £70-100m in revenue. They cannot make the same mistake this summer.

New CM and new Winger needed.

If we had signed a striker in Jan, we wouldn’t have Jesus now.
Waiting was better for the development of the team.
That said, we should bring in a CM, but only IF the right player is available.

That's just not true.

We could have signed a stop gap striker as many clubs have over the years. Otherwise, we could have let Eddie go in favour of a better quality striker with different qualities to what we already have.

Excuse mongering needs to stop.

Does anyone know at what point he got injured though because he played the whole game on Saturday or was it one of those injuries he played through and then it turned out to be a bad one?

A stop gap striker??? Who??

No excuses are necessary.
Goals were not the problem. Not even close to being a problem that needed solving in the January window.

Do think we need a CM this window , though.

Basically anyone that could score a goal unlike Lacazette.

We scored 28 goals in 22 games from the start of January.

Spurs scored 53 goals in the same period.

Goals were very much the problem. Even Mikel was quoted as saying so after back-back-back defeats vs. Palace, Southampton and Brighton.

Zinchenko isn't that strong on defence. I doubt he'll play White there either. Maybe he'll move Xhaka and start either ESR or Vieria.

In fact, I think Lokonga will come in. Not good.

If there's no quality midfielder available, then get someone on loan. The club don't really have to buy anyone if they don't want to. From now on, we will play two games a week.

CM becomes absolutely necessary now as Partey is made of glass ( apparently out for couple of weeks?) and Elneny could be out for a while. He complained of pain after the game and being assessed by the medical staff.
Old injury bug strikes again, when things were looking up!
