el nenny has never been fancied. when he does well wenger has this rule you play until you have a bad match and boom he is out. Would he have done worse than ramsey against liverpool? atleast el nenny is in midfield

Yep, he's no world beater but this guy can actually pass and move reliably, control the ball reliably and STAY IN f***ing POSITION.

All our players become world beaters when they're not on the pitch. The problem is our set up.

We wouldn't have lost by that margin had this guy played vs Liverpool, that's for sure. He was good against Chelsea and solid against Leicester.

we conceeded 3 goals against leicester and xhaka and him at dodgy passing spell which led to conceeding a goal. Way beyond players. Its all shit maangement.

Everyone will look like sh*t with sh*t tactics. At least Neny isn't so keen to gun forward all the time though.

Elneny
Xhaka - Ramsey

That's the only way forward until Cazorla returns (and gets injured again).

Makes sense to me. Our 'play from the back' style needs 3 mids otherwise high pressing kills us.
We can't have Xhaka as our deepest midfielder. Hope the boys at the club recognize this.

Agree with you about the management, but let's look at the other reason why we conceded 3 goals. Our back three were Holding, Monreal, and Kolasinac. No surprise that Holding played a part in one of the goals we conceded and it can be argued that Monreal played a part in another. Now let's analyze why we scored 4 goals in this game and could only manage 1 in the next two games. First and most importantly we had a quality striker starting up top who scored with his first attempt on target (Elneny assist btw). Second, Bellerin was played on the right side and because of that was involved in many of our attacks. Third we had real goal threats on the bench, two of which scored after coming on. Yes xhaka and elneny made mistakes but because we got the offensive part of our game right, we were not punished severely for it.

The leicester game perfectly highlights how important just getting the team selection right is
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko

Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

Man, I'd much prefer coquelin, this guy can't tackle and only passes backwards. I'd try Coquelin and Xhaka or jack if he is fit.

I think it depends on who you're playing against and the strategy you're using. Coquelin will clean out players pretty well against mid to low table sides but he will struggle (both offensively and defensively) against sides that press or pass and move well. Unlike Coquelin, Elneny seems to be better on the ball and gives us something going forward so he would be useful in games where we need to relieve pressure or break down a parked bus

Coquelin is underrated technically; he has a good first touch and is a good dribbler.

Where he is found wanting is in his positioning off the ball when we are trying to attack.

Coq when deployed as a DM is immense, there aren't many better than him in that role.
